Novel about an engineer driving cross country to begin working on the construction of Hoover Dam. En route he meets a comely young girl (natch!)...that's all I remember!

Book was written 2000-2005 (give or take a couple of years)

The book jacket has an aerial shot of a completed Hoover Dam in the background, a man in the foreground. Thanks!

Is it Waterborne by Bruce Murkoff? There are a couple different covers, the publication date is right, and the topic, though.
