I have to agree with you.. I even like the way they made these characters feel so real in TV series...

"The Turn of the screw", so that I could talk to the people, visit the house, and maybe finally understand the book (or get scared out of my wits).

The one by Henry James right? .. well if it's up to me, I would steer clear from stepping into this kind of set.. Dare is one thing, and haunting is (way) another.
imho.. :)

Have you seen television series? It's a nice depiction but I really really hate the way they end the season abruptly...

No, I want to read the second Under The Dome book first, then I'll rent the t.v. series on DVD.
It can't be as good as the book.

Very seldom. Shutter Island being the exception. Okay, good to know.

& awesome it is Aaron, no matter how many adjectives I use they fail to describe the immensity of the plot & sheer brilliance which got into creating 'A Masterpiece'...

Wow. You've sold me. I have to read this book!

I am old enough to prefer something less active than epic fantasies, even though I read a lot of that. Maybe something like The King of Elfland's Daughter or Mercedes Lackey's Free Bards books or, on lazier days, The Wind in the Willows :)

The game of Thrones!!!! Seriously!!!!!!1 The best Epic stufff out there:-) Forget L of The R...H Potter....go for the real thing: Game of Thrones. It is all about the character/s; each episode is from the point of view of a different character....it s an amazing saga...:-)

I will be too sad to watch the last episode, parting away from the best thing out there to watch...besides Brit comedy and an occasional Dr Martin..

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte because that is my favorite novel of all time, and I would love to take the place of Jane and experience the events of the novel through my own eyes, and add my original twists and turns along the way.

Probably Discworld. The world is so ridiculous and interesting, it would be a nice to experience the whole thing first hand. I would like to visit to Ankh-Morpork, and talk to all the characters. As fun as I think it would be though, I wouldn't want to stay.

I don't like Harry Potter (Sorry) so I'm gonna have to break the streak. I would jump into this book called UnEnchanted. I would love to be the main character. It would be awesome!

I, ioo, loved JANE EYRE. In high school and college, I'd read it at lest once a year. I liked the book's goth romantic sensibility. Then, years later, I discovered its sequel, WIDE SARGASSO SEA by Jean Rhys--which takes a very different perspective from the original story. The writing is beautiful; the story, shocking and stunning. Check it out in the link below:

or Catherine Earnshaw in Wuthering Heights
or Harry in HP"
Catherine Earnshaw is the most interesting choice I've ever seen here! Prey tell, going all gothic and stuff I would love to be Jane from Jane Eyre :)
