Catherine Earnshaw is the most interesting choice I've ever seen here! Prey tell, going all gothic and stuff I would love to be Jane from Jane Eyre :)

I still think, that it would be awesome to step into the world created in the series "Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin

Haha I think I would be a little scared to step into that world though I would definitely think dying was worth it if I could meet the King of the North & Tyrion Lannister.....like omg....Game of Thrones has the most amazing characters ever crafted!

I have to agree with you.. I even like the way they made these characters feel so real in TV series...

"The Turn of the screw", so that I could talk to the people, visit the house, and maybe finally understand the book (or get scared out of my wits).

The one by Henry James right? .. well if it's up to me, I would steer clear from stepping into this kind of set.. Dare is one thing, and haunting is (way) another.

imho.. :)

Have you seen television series? It's a nice depiction but I really really hate the way they end the season abruptly...

message 111: by [deleted user] (new)

No, I want to read the second Under The Dome book first, then I'll rent the t.v. series on DVD.

It can't be as good as the book.

So Aaron, you think I can be a sales-person ;) :D

hell, I'll give huge discounts on books for sure.. or end-up buying all the books for myself.. :p

Saving People, Hunting Things~ The Family Business Any of the cases of Sherlock Holmes.

message 121: by Dawn (new)

Dawn (dawn9655) I am old enough to prefer something less active than epic fantasies, even though I read a lot of that. Maybe something like The King of Elfland's Daughter or Mercedes Lackey's Free Bards books or, on lazier days, The Wind in the Willows :)

message 137: by Grace (new)

Grace (gch1995) | 7 comments Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte because that is my favorite novel of all time, and I would love to take the place of Jane and experience the events of the novel through my own eyes, and add my original twists and turns along the way.

message 138: by Amaranth (new)

Amaranth (aeternumamaranth) | 3 comments Probably Discworld. The world is so ridiculous and interesting, it would be a nice to experience the whole thing first hand. I would like to visit to Ankh-Morpork, and talk to all the characters. As fun as I think it would be though, I wouldn't want to stay.

Hi Grace,

I, ioo, loved JANE EYRE. In high school and college, I'd read it at lest once a year. I liked the book's goth romantic sensibility. Then, years later, I discovered its sequel, WIDE SARGASSO SEA by Jean Rhys--which takes a very different perspective from the original story. The writing is beautiful; the story, shocking and stunning. Check it out in the link below:
