Edwin (edreese) | 20 comments Didn't have much time for reading at the beginning of 2010, and it shows. But this summer I have rediscovered the joys of the city library, and with all this fresh and free content, I have enjoyed a mid-year renaissance! So even though 50 seems like a long-shot, I figured, why not?

Edwin (edreese) | 20 comments The Nobodies Album by Carolyn Parkhurst - August 8

I had requested this book from the library a month or so ago, and by the time it arrived I had completely forgotten why I had done so. I'd never read any of Parkhurst's books before, but I enjoyed her writing style. I also enjoyed the "gimmick" of the book, the inserts from the main character's other books along with the rewritten endings. I thought many of those inserts made fine mini short stories all by themselves.
