Michelle (meadow68) | 3 comments I have a copy of the book Summer Mahogany by Janet Dailey. It's this book:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...

I have a Harlequin Presents version so it has an alternate cover. No problem, I can add it, right?

Now this paperback version I have has an ISBN # listed on the title page verso of:

0-373-70779-7

But if I do a search for that ISBN on GR, I get another book

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/57...

So did they share ISBNs?

How can I add my version of the book and my cover?

Also, does this matter -- on the back cover at the bar code, is this number

6537302125

Ideas? Thoughts? Advice?

The bar code is irrelevant from all books before about 2003. Harlequin is one of the main offenders on the reusing ISBN list. So you have the second case of an alternate cover.

That's not what she's talking about, though. These are two DIFFERENT books with the same ISBN.

Michelle (meadow68) | 3 comments Yes two completely different books both with the same ISBN. Except the book I have actually, I am looking at it rt now, and I am looking at the ISBN in it. I don't know how or where the other book got it's ISBN, if it is a typo or if they reused the ISBN which is NOT supposed to happen.

willaful Harlequin actually reuses ISBNs from its old books all the time.

Michelle (meadow68) | 3 comments Ok but then what do I do? I ended up creating a whole new book just so I could add it.
