Oh man! I didn't get to finish my July challenge and Star does it have to be 7 DIFFERENT authors? LMAO I got 7 books with the same author already :( LOL which BTW I haven't read the author yet LOL
Optional, I have few groups where I do not participate, only follow forum talk, to keep in touch on what is hot.
Okay. I think I got them. It's hard to find that many good books I want to read with authors I haven't read yet. But I think these will be good :) Some Girls Bite- Chloe Neill
The Darkest Night- Gena Showalter
Glass Houses – Rachel Caine
Angel’s Blood- Nalini Singh
Insatiable- Meg Cabot

or is it optional?"
Completely optional. Join in if u like, but remember u dont have to put up 7 books if u dont think u can manage that many a month, just as many as u want to read.

LOL well for next month i was thinking maybe we could pick a year and read 7 books released in that year. Let me know if this sounds good.

Lol, sounds nice. Iron King is cool, modern fairytale. She gave 1.5 of this book for free as an ebook (Kagawa herself) so if u'll like it, I can e-mail it to you. Yet it will be hard to agree on the year, considering for example : Gilgamesh is written around 2000 B.C-ish. So we have around 4000 years to chose from, B.C. is mostly philosophy and myths, but non the less they are good and very very very interesting and need to be read by every person (say so my professors)
ThanksOwlm
Oh and I was thinking anyone who wanted to participate in next months challenge could choose their own year and choose their books from that year. But i guess we could take a vote and all do the same year. might be interesting

Well, I don't mind, like all years. I will participate (cross my heart) , love reading, but sometimes I am an impulsive reader, so sometimes I can lay off the reading.
Ok, I'll post them as I start to read them.1. The Forest of hands & teeth - Carrie Ryan.
2. Graceling - Kristen Cashore.
3. The Scotland Yard Files/150 Years of the C.I.D. 1842-1992 - Paul Begg.
4. Esau - Philip Kerr.
5. Prophecy of the sisters - Michelle Zink.
6. Fang of the vampire by Tommy Donbavand.
I liked both books alot. You should like them. The one is like a horror movie and the other an eptic fantasy.
I still havent read forest of hands and teeth yet, its sitting on my shelves collecting dust at the moment lol. Hopefully i get round to it soon
Hi, I don't know if I will get Halo in time, shipping was messed up on me with few books. So instead I will read "The Mabinogion" it is a collection of Celtic myths and legends, hoping to like it.
Thats fine. Hope u like ur new choices. Feel free to change ur list as often as u want lol. we all end up reading different books that werent planned.
Well I sometimes read more than 7a month, it all depends on mood. Right now I got crazy work out, one way or another I end up all wet (floor around me too) and exhausted like a horse. I got chance to read on the train today. Whew crazy week!
LOL, yeah i know what u mean. I dont have many chances to read any more either. Hopefully i will read my 7 for the challenge though

College? What is your major, I personally took a semester off for my sister (regretting every minute with her)...
Yes college. I'm doing a double major in Film and Media. But taking some classical studies and a psychology paper. Its pretty good
Cool. My BF is in Animation school, so now and then shows me how to do few things. I'm majoring in Criminal Justice, although many of my friends are trying to persuade me to become a history teacher (talk too much).
Animation school sounds awesome. And so does Criminal Justice. My flatmate is majoring in Law and Politics, she wants to be a criminal lawyer. i think thats what you call it? lol
History teacher doesntsound as exciting lol.

I like history and teaching, hate kids under 14!!! I want to be a lawyer for 2 years and then try to run for a judge. I tutor from time to time, and like when people listen, can find a common ground. Also came up with few technics of teaching class on individual level (as much as possible). Also have experience as a teacher (in high school I knew one of the foreign languages fluently, so instead of learning it, I had my own class of 5-10 people). I'm such a brag, sorry.
*wink*
Lol dont be sorry. It all sounds really great!
And yes i was wondering if u wanted to eventually become a judge. Sounds like an awesome plan.
I want to tutor some primary or intermediate aged kids (5-13 year olds) while im at college but i dont know if i need any qualifications for that.

Well, I think that qualification would be nice. But you are not a teacher, so if ad is posted in newspaper or whatever, parents will rely on luck anyways. I also think that if you do internship for a month or so in tutoring center or elsewhere, will pay off. Also it will prove to you how much are you willing to do with children. Then after intern even if you don't get the job, then at least recommendations will be at hand. Also suggest to go in public schools and talk to principal, about being a teacher "helper" as volunteer, another way to get recommendations and experience. Basically you not a teacher but will be present in a classroom and help support teacher with large number of students. For example:
In middle school there was this division of classes,
8-1 8-2 and 8-3. Meaning 8 is a grade (dunno if in every state is the same way.) and 1 is high-level class where students "well" behaved and high grades, with a need of harder program. While students in 8-3 will show behavioral problems, and need of teacher support in learning, usually applied to new ESL (English Second Language) students.
Teachers have problems with 8-3, because not enough resources to support language and understanding barrier. Also if you show ability to bring students from 3-3 to 3-2 or 3-1, considering them being in -3 division all the time, will be extra points for you.
If you have more questions, shoot, I love hear myself talk, but writing is cool too.
Done with Dresden filesPride and prejustice
Speak...
Four more books to go, and many more to enjoy in future.
Much of luck guys!
Very, i took it up, expeting to read 50 pages, and finished in one sitting. I usually do not write reviews on books, but for that one I wrote, and lengty one too.
