Nicolle 1. No matter how hard I try, I cannot convince my family that books are better than movies.
2. I hope to move to Australia when I'm around 25 (currently live in England)
3. My name is Nicolle and I'm a bookoholic...

message 62: by Nicolle (new)

Nicolle That is the kind of excerise I want to do. The only thing I want to know about Australia is the school system, is it like the American (elementary, middle school, high school, college) or England (primary, high school, college, university) or different to both? (want to know as plan to be a teacher)

message 63: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments I honestly don't know, if I were allowed a facebook I'd be able to talk to all of my family over there. I haven't talked to them for 2 years....

message 64: by Flameholly161 (new)

Flameholly161 i have a facebook!!!!!!!!

ugh sashana why are you team gale???? though i like the team dimka part

message 65: by Sashana (new)

Sashana I just love Gale, even though he had a very small part in the first two books. They’ve been through so much together and to be honest, he sounds like a hottie :) I just don't fee that chemistry between Katnis and Peeta.

message 66: by Sashana (new)

Sashana Lauren wrote: "I honestly don't know, if I were allowed a facebook I'd be able to talk to all of my family over there. I haven't talked to them for 2 years...."

Lauren, maybe you can email them instead. I have cousins in England and we email once or twice a month. Or you can use chat or Skype.

message 67: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 931 comments Thanks :) I don't know any of their email addresses, nor do I have any information on them but I can ask my grandmother.

Trina 1. After graduating from college three years ago, this summer I decided to start taking classes for my Master's. I'm glad to be back in school but hate the workload.

5. I love technology and gadgets. Especially the nook, which I just bought a month ago and am absolutely in love with it.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic 1] I love reading/writing erotic romance. The themes and genres vary. I like dark themes and strong, fierce characters. The tormented hero is a favorite of mine.
2] I'm a big tease/flirt, hence the name Sizzlin Miss, hehe. Being friendly has always been my nature, so don't take offense if I say something being playful. Its just me.
3] I am always either reading [my e-books or paperback:] or writing or chatting. My outside the house activities are exercising and socializing. I find comfort in reading so I tend to stay home and read as opposed to going out to party or something.
4] Im single and people are shocked, lol. My big personality draws a lot of attn. I am picky tho.
5]I love my family and that's rare I guess.I love being with my sisters, shopping, hanging out, talking. I always say 'Love u' whenever they leave the house or we hang up. Imma big softie when it comes to my family.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic @Lisarenee You can't go wrong w/ a vacation in San Diego. Summertime is best but the weather is pretty nice year round. Winter is 50-60 and u can pretty much still wear shorts and a long sleeve sweater =D

Also, I think being picky has saved me from the crap my girlfriends complain abt with their current b/fs, lol.

Lacy♪ ♫Movements of a Demigod ♪ ♫ (lb3553) | 466 comments 1. I have a little bit of OCD, but it really bothers me that those letters are not in alphabetical order.
2. I am completely addicted to reading.
3. I am single and still a virgin because I have yet to meet my knight in shining armor and according to my mother have my standards set to high.
4. I rock out in my car singing at the top of my lungs and sometimes get some strange looks. I think it really helps me stay off my lead foot.
5. I live in the middle of redneck country and constantly cringe at the way people butcher the english language.

message 75: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Sizzlin Miss Kenjii, I'm envious. I love San Diego. We went there one Thanksgiving when we lived in California and it was beautiful.

Lacy, Welcome. You'll fit right in with the rest of us. Maybe we should have started the introductions off with...Hello, my name is fill in the blank and I am *pause for dramatic effect* a Book-a-holic and proud of it. lol

Aimie (aim4theneck) | 13 comments 1. I moved to Australia when I was 7, then back to UK when I was 13 then back to Australia again when I was 20 (i still feel undecided on where i should be.. lol... what do they say? "the grass is always greener on the other side.")
2. I had twins at 18yrs old.
3. I now have a 3rd child.
4. I still don't know "what i want to be when i grow up!"
5. I have written a novel (currently editing it), which has a sequel in progress too, but i'm undecided on whether to self publish online via smashwords or such like, or look for a proper publisher!

I have a Kindle, which i love.. but I still have to buy books sometimes because I just love that book smell.. Plus I'm in Australia and not all the books I read are available here in Ebook form.
Enjoy your Nook.. (If the Nook was available here, I would of bought that instead of the kindle, I believe you can do more with it.)

message 91: by Lea (new)

Lea (londoninmymind) | 11 comments 5 things about me? Hmm...

1. I own 254 books, that I am currently working my way through, even though I buy new ones so often I cant't keep up in reading :)

2. I live in Denmark, and I can't seem to find friends with the same interests as me other places than the internet.

3. I am a Harry Potter nut, and have been for 10 years now - I plan on owning a copy of Philosopher's Stone in every single language (so far I'm on English, German, Swedish, Spanish and Danish). It's alright to call me a nerd to my face :)

4. My big dream is to take a year off from everything, and spend a week in every state in America.

5. I have 25 cousins, and I'm the oldest one under the age of 30... (I'm 18)

message 92: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (alexisfromoregon) ok 5 things about me-

1. I have 2 dogs Helia (part beagle/shihtzu) and Cricket (papillion) I mention them because they are very dear to me, we spend lots of time hanging out and going place together... and they curl up by when I read.

2. I have 3 shelves over flowing with books- I'd say i have well over 1000... I recently bought a Nook (that I love) so now I have several ebooks too! Oh I should say I haven't read all of them but will eventually.

3. I love the rain
4. Cooking/baking I do this a lot too- might be lame but I want people to say Oh I know her she always makes good pies and has some if you stop by for coffee.
5. yea you'll recognize me because I usually have a black skirt and a cute tshirt and a pair of thong birks on (rain, snow or shine)(any activity).

Hello Lea- I know what you mean about finding only friends on the internet with the same interest...

message 93: by Lisarenee (new)

Lisarenee | 7659 comments Welcome Elise, Alexis, Lea, & Aimee.

Aimee, Twins? Are they identical? It always sounded like fun to have twins, but a lot of work as well.

Lea, That's a neat idea to own a book in every language it's been printed in. Just out of curiosity how many of those languages can your read?

Alexis, Another Cook. We need to trade recipes. :)

Elise, I can still remember the first time I flew. I made the lady next to me nervous and she was a frequent flier. I didn't think I'd be that way until I sat down in the seat. Thankfully, that was the only time I ever got nervous about a flight.

message 94: by Sans (new)

Sans Alexis, your bookcases sound like mine. I love the rain too and while I don't bake often, I do enjoy it. Gluten free spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting is my favourite thing to bake, followed by ginger molasses cookies. Shoot, I'm giving myself cravings here.

Aimee, I'd be very interested in how the publishing goes. I'm currently writing a book with a friend (only on the first draft) and we're going to have a huge learning curve when it comes to the publishing area.

Lea, I know how you feel. I have two friends with similar interests that live "close" to me (each are an hour away by car), everyone else is spread across the country and world.

Hello to everyone else that I may have missed (can be difficult to keep up when playing at work).

message 95: by Lea (new)

Lea (londoninmymind) | 11 comments Alexis: Good to know! That's why I'm really looking forward to getting to know you guys! :)

Lisarnee: I speak Danish and English fluently (or close to), I speak a little German, I understand Sweedish beacause It's so close to Danish (I'm getting a book in Norwegan as well) and I'm currently learning to speak Spanish, and I figured I would help me - a win-win situation, you see :)

Sans: Yea, my only problem is that I'm not good at taking the time to get to know someone over the internet. I'm doing some progress, though :P

message 96: by Heather (new)

Heather | 504 comments Lea, you will find this is a good place to be as we all love books and will always call you a nerd to your face since we are almost all nerds (speaking definitely about myself). I hope you succeed at finding all the books of TPS of Harry Potter!

Alexis, thank you for making me hungry for pie! Man, I could kill for some. Black skirt eh? I bet you have definitely pull it off. I have one cat, Mathilda a Siamese Snowshoe who completely reflects her mistress ... a brat!
