We're in countdown mode. Ten days until the release of ZOMBIE CSU!If anyone's in Eastern Pennsylvania, we're having a launch event at Borders in Warrington, PA (in the Valley Square Shopping Center, Route 611 and Street Road). The launch event is on August 26 at 7pm.
There will be a panel discussion on zombies and a costume for the best zombie costume!
Oh yeah, this is going straight to the top of my must read list for certain.
Sounds great... I'm looking forward to reading it.
I'm about half way through this. So far, it's amazing and answers tons of questions that any zombie fan with the slightest amount of critical thinking might have. Great stuff. I'm guessing the second half is going to keep me going like the first has.
I finished it this morning and tossed up a short review if anyone is interested.
I wanted to give a heads up about the book I have coming out in August:
ZOMBIE CSU: The Forensic Science of the Living Dead (Citadel Press, August 26; Trade Paperback; $16.95).
In it I interviewed pathologists, physicians, physicists, physiologists, chemists, psychologists, crime scene investigators of all kinds, detectives, SWAT team members and even Homeland Security. The book has lots of hard science in it and terrific professional speculation on how the real world would react, research and respond.
I also interviewed key players in zombie pop culture (Max Brooks, Tony Todd, Brian Keene, David Wellington, James Gunn, Robert Kirkman, etc.).
Book's fully illustrated with about 100 pieces of zombie art by artists like Jason Beam, Ken Meyer Jr. Robert Sacchetto, Alan F. Beck, Chad Michael Ward, Jacob Palmantier
It'll be in bookstores and is already available for pre-order on Amazon. It officially launches at Dragon*Con in Atlanta at the end of August.
