Okay so i found 1 huge problem with the first book, which was the fact that they didn't do one of the most common sense things. Which is:


Why didn't one of the them keep their Million Dollars and the other take the clue, then the other could have just let the other in on the clue, they could share the money, and then the whole book the 2 kids wouldn't have to complain about themselves having no money?

SPOILER FOR 3rd BOOK:

Yes i know that in the 3rd book that Nellie gets money from the Kobras, but in common sense, why wouldn't they take a million and a clue?

I would like to make myself believe that whoever took the money would not be able to win the contest, but since it was never said in the book. You don't know what to think.

BUT, has anyone thought about this before?
and now that you've heard what i have to say about it, whats your opinion on it?

I've thought of this before, and I decided that each smaller family within Grace's family was only allowed one choice. Like, I think the whole Holt family was there, but they couldn't get a million dollars for each person. They could only choose one thing as a whole; the family works as a unit. Same with Dan and Amy.
