I just got Love Finds You in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on my Kindle. Looks like I might be able to do the group read with you if I can at least finish Adoring Addie, Love Finds you In Charm , Ohio, and the audio edition of The Storekeeper's Daughter by June 1st.
5/21/13This conclusion to the trilogy was so good. It finally addressed all of the threads of the story line that had been left dangling. The crisis and resolution was so surprising and satisfying. A well-written novel with intriguing characters.

really enjoying this book in the stand alone series."
I love this book! I an listening to the audiobook. I also have the wispersync, so I can read it on Kindle. This my favorite Beverly Lewis book at the moment.
5/22/13I greatly enjoyed this novel and am looking forward to reading more of the series. It was well-written; the characters were well drawn and truly interesting. I absolutely loved the female protagonist, Ruth. The plot was enjoyable with moments of great hilarity as well as those of sadness or apprehension. There was quite a surprising twist at the end that I didn't see coming at all, which was awesome.
I'm almost done with the audio version of The Storekeeper's Keeper's Daughter. Review in the next few days.

Rachel: I agree. I really enjoyed this trilogy.

Yes, I read just the first book several years ago and wasn't much of a fan in part because so much was left up in the air, but being a little older made me more sympathetic to the plot and I decided to read the sequels this time and overall, I do really like the trilogy. :) I'd just rather have it all in one volume. :)
I finished Love Finds You in Charm, Ohio and Amish Heart by Sicily Yoder. Both are good. Reviews to come.
5/24/13I really loved this novel. The three-pronged plot was really interesting, and I loved the characters. I liked how well Abigail's spiritual journey through reading Scripture was portrayed. A very well-written, entertaining, and emotionally tugging novel.
I just finished A Canvas of Amish Lilies by Tori Simpson, which is the second part of her serial series Flowers of Heaven. It is so good.
Finished the group read for the next month, Love Finds in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. So good. Review soon.
I'm 100 pages into The Wounded Heart and I'm pretty sure I'll finish it this weekend. I'm going back and forth between reading and knitting.
Finished reading "The Wounded Heart" by Adina Senft. It was ok. Not my favorite Amish book I've read, but ok. I want to read the 2nd and 3rd in the series though. Not sure what I'm reading next.
Jessica: I'm sorry you weren't impressed with The Wounded Heart. Maybe I won't nominate for July after all.

I haven't yet read books 2 and 3 in this series, but I plan to soon.
Carolyn E: Thanks. I have other ideas for what to nominate. I wonder if anyone else will nominate it.
I probably could nominate it, although I was thinking about nominating Linda Castillo's Sworn to Silence.
I just bought Ray Of Light on my Kindle. Cannot wait to read it sometime soon, probably next month. I really want to start Naomi's Christmas when I get it from the library tomorrow.
Carolyn E: I listened to Breaking Silence. It had a lot of language and some other questionable things. I think the group rules say have to nominate clean books. Just thought I'd warn you. Sorry about that.
Natalie: Thanks for the warning. It has been a while since I read any of the books in this series. I guess I shsould re-read Sworn to Silence before I nominate it.
Oh no don't not put a book out there because I said it wasn't by favorite. I liked the book it just wasn't one of my favorites I read. I plan to read the 2nd and 3rd though. I'm getting ready to take a weekend trip out of town and getting ready to start "Missing" by Shelley Shepard Gray. I have all three books in the series so I can't wait to start knowing that I don't have to wait to read the other two:)

I've got to say, although I didn't love The Wounded Heart it would definitely make for an interesting group discussion! I'd like to read the others in the series sometime.
I really enjoyed Missing. I've had the second book on my Kindle for a while now, just need to find time to read it!
Right now I'm reading a historical romance, To Whisper Her Name by Tamera Alexander.
I just got The Promise Box on my Kindle. I am planning to start in the next few days once I finish Naomi's Christmas.
I am reading The Guardian by Beverly Lewis. It is a great book I love Beverly Lewis, she is one of my favorite authors.
5/31/13After a slow start, this was a fun and interesting YA fantasy. The characters were well drawn, and I enjoyed the plot. I was completely surprised by the sudden betrothal and marriage near the end, however, even though it made for a fun denouement. Then, it was bit weird how several years of marriage and several children are all introduced within the last few pages. Overall though, I liked it.
