Great to have you here Heather! I have very much the same problem as you, but really it's more my husband's problem. He's tired of tip toeing around my stacks. ;)

Hi Heather, welcome!

Hell Lori, nice to meet you. I loved Ken Follett'sThe Pillars of the Earth
I'm a little behind the times, and haven't read anything by Ken Follett. It's not that I don't want to, but I just tend to fall behind the times. I'll get to it! I swear! :)

I read Pillars of the Earth as well...I just love his books. I used to read him when he was all spy thrillers, but I think I like his new direction.

I've got World Without End in my abandoned shelf. I really must give it more of a chance! Don't know what's wrong with me, I loved The Pillars.

I love the look of your book selection, so I'm keen to join in.
I will read most genres and will give any book a chance. Currently I've been reading the post apocolyptic/dystopian YA books (hunger games, divergent etc) and recently finished the Mortal Instruments series.
Can't wait to get started reading the books listed in this group!
Hi Kyla,
I'm glad you decided to join! We are a great bunch :)
I have City of Bones but haven't started it yet. How did you find the Mortal Instruments series?

I have since also read The Infernal Devices books too which draw alot of parallels between characters, but still just as good!

Loved the Mortal Instruments as well! Great reading.

I'll have to check out the Ken Follett latest .... I did enjoy Pillars and The End ... but I confess to listening to them on audio (which was really well done). The size was daunting and with the commute I know I can get a good 1 1/2 Hrs of listening time in! It's a bonus!
I also have really enjoyed the YA dystopian reads that are out there. Just finished Insurgent (still mulling over my review). Loved Hunger Games and still have some reading in the Mortal Instruments - but am enjoying it too.
So many books! I'm half way into the Song of Ice & Fire books ... loving them and then there's 'the girl who did stuff' books next. *sigh*!!! I've heard about the Karen Marie Moning books and they seem to be really popular as well....

Hello Kyla - welcome! Was just checking out your bookshelves - I'm planning on reading

Hello Gina, and welcome.

Hi Florence! Q is so so so worth the read! As a self proclaimed introvert and someone who has spent most of her life being incredibly shy and anxious, this book completely changed how I view things! I know it sounds crazy, but "life changing" comes to mind! Best book I e read this year. I hope you enjoy it :)

Thanks Kyla, I know I will. I'm one of those people that would rather face a firing squad than have to speak in public, sounds right up my alley:)

Thank you! Looking forward to hearing about some great books!

Hi Jessie,
Welcome to the Bookends! Glad you joined us :)
Hi, I am Alice and like to read most everything except about politics. I am the oldest fan of Twilight and looking forward to Breaking Dawn part II coming out.
thanks Tasha for inviting me. I love polls, are there any here? will check it out.

Welcome Alice! Do you mean polls for fun? We haven't done too many in the past, but if you're interested, we can definitely get a few going to see how it goes. What kind of polls were you thinking?
I like almost any kind. I was going to make a Twilight one to see which book was the favorite on this group but not sure if members are allowed to do polls? Some groups do allow them and some don't.
Welcome Alice!
A Twilight poll sounds like fun right about now especially since the final movie is due this month:)

No, I didn't know that. I have chemical sensitivity so I will have to try to go to a theater when almost no one else is there. I would like to be with the other fans but can't be due to allergies.
That must be tough, Alice! Especially since you're such a big fan, and have to wait to see the fourth movie. :(
I had heard they were toying with the idea of making Bree Tanner into a movie too. I don't especially like that idea... although, I didn't especially like the book either.

I look forward to being part of this group.
Welcome Marla! Which device do you use the most? I have a Kobo touch as well I loved using it when I would travel to and from work (so much lighter).

I prefer the Kobo Touch for the same reason. It is smaller and can go in my purse when I am traveling. I work shift work and have a nasty habit so at night I like the Vox or the iPad as I don't have to have an extra light when I go outside for my nasty habit. I also prefer the eInk of the Touch, easier on the eyes.

I was hoping they would make Bree Tanner into a movie. When I first read her story in Breaking Dawn I felt so sad for her and hated Jane all the more. That is good news to me they make another movie. I don't want it to end of course. Thanks for this good news.
I am also an artist, Gevenieve. Will check out your link.
