I requested this book through my local public library and just picked it up about a week ago and while I have been slowly picking my way through it, I am really enjoying it. I couldn't imagine tasting people's feelings when eating food and having to resort to packaged food to not be able to taste people's emotions while eating; what an awful feeling.

I've heard very mixed reviews about this book so I can't wait to form my own opinion.

I had a hard time with this book. I loved the concept but the book didn't measure up to what I had in my head. It was well written and if I'd read it at a different time, I would have probably really liked it.

I recently finished this and really loved it. It reminded me a bit of When You Reach Me.

Tracey, I totally get the right timing of a book. I'm going to give up on the Lost City of Z right now. I'm bathed in pregnancy hormones and can't get into dudes trekking to almost certain death in the Amazon. The explorers are also taking their young (teenage) sons along...What!!!! A mother can't read such.

I just finished the book this afternoon and was really puzzled by the ending, but in a way, it fit the book. I really enjoyed it. I really want to thank Ann and Michael for the recommendation.

I'm about halfway through it and it's not bad, but not entirely grabbing me either.

I finished this last week. I didn't enjoy it that much initially, but the writing and the characters really grew on me and I thoroughly enjoyed it by the end. While I may not have wholly connected with the plot, it was one of those books that sort reached to me in the real world, because it desperately made me want to spend more time cooking and truly savoring the experiences of food.

I loved this story!

I have no idea what to make of it, especially Joseph, but it didn't matter because I enjoyed the writing so much.

At first I expected it to be more about food/cooking but I was actually happy that it was more about people and how hard it is for people to articulate their feelings. Even more interesting is how people aren't even always aware of how they really feel.

I can't wait to try something else by Amiee Bender!
