Bettie, I realy like Dalgleish - although I only know him from the tv series. That was long ago, so I didn't remember his romantic touch. Just made another guess - Dalziel is about the rumpliest (and grumpiest) detective I know... And now we know it wasn't eather one!

Nope, Scout, but good guess. And I agree, Mosley is a wonderful writer and his new character Leonid McGill is one in a series of great characters. He doesn't have a partner, though! I just finished Known to Evil also, and greatly enjoyed it.
