I have recently finished The Reckoning and really enjoyed it. Thanks for the recomendation.
I was under the impression that this was the last in a trilogy but while some things were wrapped up, others were left open for more sequels - I hope so!

I agree with you, Angie, about the ending, but I think I would have been very disappointed if she'd tried to wrap everything up neatly, and it certainly cries for more. Hopefully her next trilogy is related in some way. It starts with The Gathering, which doesn't come out until April 2011.

i finished Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. I thought it was good. It was alittle hard to get into at first but when It got rolling it was very good. definatley a series that I will be continuting.
I am also going to try My soul to take by Rachel Vincent but I don'tknow ifI wu=ill finsih by the end of the month. Thanks for the book and I am glad you enjoyed the rec's

I ended up really liking kitty and the midnight hour - UF is a relatively new genre for me, but i'm enjoying it. def. going to be reading more in the future.

- from all that I have seen, it looks like we had some good one this month.
Thanks to everyone for participating and Congrats to all those that have already finished.

Thank you so much for recommending Talk Me Down. I really enjoyed Ben and Molly's love story. Thanks! Great rec!

I'm so happy you enjoyed it, Gigi! It makes me feel more excited about it when I do get around to reading it. I agree with Photojim about readin Start Me Up. Lori is an awesome heroine, when she's not busy feeling sorry for herself.
ETA: I should be picking up your recommendation next week from the library & hopefully I'll manage to read it by August 31st.

Oh you're welcome. I finished MTM too, lastweek. It was amazing.

I've settled with Heyer's Venetia from your recommendations, and I finally got done today.
It is a book I probably would not have picked up on my own, but after adjusting to the style of writing, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you for the recommendation.

Great! I can't wait to hear which book you're reading and what you thought.
Photojim wrote: "Gigi, the second book in the Tumble Creek series, Start Me Up, is my favorite of the three. Lori Love is great!"
Lori has her own book?!?! I think I actually liked Lori more than Molly. LOL I'm definitely looking forward to reading Lori's story. Thanks Jim!

Yeah everyone that has read one or more of their recommendations.
I saw that Rossy and Dee has already gotten September Pick-It-For-Me up and taking participants.
- Thanks to everyone in the August Pick-It-For-Me Challenge, I had so much fun with this because you all helped to make it that way.
Congrats to everyone involved :)

What did you think about it?
- So many have done multiples now, Congrats.

It's been a long long long three weeks since I've been able to get to a computer, but I've picked Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and have read it already. I'm actually reading Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead too. :]
I'm checking into your suggestion as we speak, but I won't be able to read it until August is over because my local library doesn't have it. D:

That makes at least 2 for you doesn't it Pam?
What did you think about it?
No it's still only one on this challenge I think. I've just had Sookie on the brain.

I've actually only ever read one John Green and it seemed decent. You only have to read one of the picks. The rest are pure bonus!

From your recommendations, I read And Then He Kissed Her and I loved it and I am going to read the rest of the series as well. Great Suggestions. I read two out of my own TBR and I am glad I read them now, great books!!! Thanks for your recs!!
From my TBR:
2. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie By Jennifer Ashley.
3. All Things Beautiful By Cathy Maxwell.
New:
1. Fahrenheit 451 By Ray Bradbury.
3. SoullessBy Gail Carriger.
4. The Spymaster's LadyBy Joanna Bourne

Sue I'm so unhappy right now. This month has been crazy! I've had no time to read and I only got through Morrigan's Cross which was a bit odd to me. I still liked it. I have a weekend of rest and I'm hoping to get to You Slay Me

I'm sorry you're having such a crazy month. Hopefully September will be better for you. And a weekend of rest is always a good thing! I'm glad you at least liked it though! I just picked up "Perfect Timing" at the library last week and I'm just about 1/4th way into it. But while I was waiting for that, I did finish "The Cinderella Deal" earlier, but was waiting to post both since that was my back-up book! But I did like "The Cinderella Deal." I think I like almost everything Jennifer Crusie writes!
Oh, as for "Choke," I've actually started that one a couple of times and put it back down. His other books have been interesting, but odd. But my daughter read it and said she really liked it. So, it's still on my tbr pile and someday I'll get to it!

That sux! Hopefully you'll get to read it soon, even if the challenge has ended.

I know some of you are still waiting for your book to come in (library, PBS, ect.) so, even after the month is over, please check back with us when you finish, let us all know what you thought of the book you selected also.

Brenda Jackson is one of my favorite authors although all her books are mostly exactly alike. Perfect Timing and Perfect Fit were different in that she didn't add a little bit of mystery and suspense. I'm glad you didn't hate it lol

Thanks for the recommendation Barb, but now I have ANOTHER author to follow. ;-)

Thanks for the rec, Mandy!

Here is your list.. :)
TBR

Hey Brandy, how are you doing with the baby thing?
Hope all is well.
I read Covet and I liked it, I loooove BDB so I was expecting a little bit more from Ms. Ward but that's just me.
I liked the characters and the plot was good, I do want to know what happens with Jim and Devina so I'll be reading the next book too.

Kerste wrote: "Gus,
Thank you for the recommendations...
I'm going to start with Born of Night, Succubus Blues and This Charming Man. Can't wait!"

Kerste,
I was the same with Born of Night, and I wouldn't have read it if it wasn't part of a challenge, but fell in love with the book too.

I enjoyed it...will definitely read another Sookie Stackhouse but wish I had read this before all the current vampi..."
Pam, I just saw this (I was deinterneted for most of August) and I'm so glad you liked it :) I managed to finish Nerd in Shining Armor last night with literally about 1/2 an hour left of August to spare. I really enjoyed it, but I must say that the 'I'm sooo Southern' bit Genevieve had going at the start was a bit overdone.
