Susan | 6406 comments No all pickles do not have the same texture. There is a pickle that is more snappy and crunchy and then there is a more flacid and soft pickle.

Never had a fried pickle.

Susan | 6406 comments I found them to be overrated but I only had them once.

Fried mushrooms, on the other hand, are delicious.

message 54: by Riona (new)

Riona (rionafaith) | 488 comments I don't think I've ever had a fried mushroom! Were they breaded and deep fried? I feel like mushrooms would soak up so much oil and get greasy. Is that not the case?

Really? I feel like fried mushrooms are the basic bar food of America. I haven't had them in ages so I can't remember how precisely breaded and fried they were. They weren't nasty. Not dripping in grease or anything.

message 56: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments You must find the beer battered ones. The mushrooms stay firm and juicy and not greasy at all. Of course, there are better ones depending on where you go. There is a local restaurant that makes spicy ones. They are the best!

If I were Prince William and feeling lazy, I would just eat the sausages Kate uses to curl her hair.

message 58: by Riona (new)

Riona (rionafaith) | 488 comments I don't know how I've never had them before! I guess I'm going to the wrong bars. I love mushrooms and I love fried things. I need to seek these out.

message 59: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Ha! Stop it! You sausage hair curl hater!

evie (ecie) | 4437 comments Will's curled sausages.

message 61: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments I've been waiting a long time for the sausage curl to go out of style. How many years has it been now?

Fried mushrooms are fine if done right, but fried green tomatoes are really tasty. Thin, crispy, tart, delicious.

message 62: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Fried green tomatoes are very good.

All I can think of is what is that black binder clip doing with those sausages.

message 68: by Riona (new)

Riona (rionafaith) | 488 comments I think it's just fastening that wire rack to the table.

Also, those sausages look delicious.

message 69: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Sausages often look delicious. Sometimes, looks are deceiving. I would try one, though, without hesitation.

I'll tell you what I don't eat when I'm lazy: this Rubik's fruit.

Nor do I take the time to eat half a banana and then lace up the rest for later.

Riona (rionafaith) | 488 comments Where do you even find this stuff??

message 73: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments But you do install grommets in your banana, right?

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Eat when I'm lazy (in no particular order):

- pickles or hamburger dill slices
- french onion dip & chips
- cheese

message 80: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I can get down on some nacho cheese Doritos and french onion dip. Kettle cooked potato chips. I try to not have these things in the house very often.

I love kettle cooked tater chips. When I was a young sprite I loved the nacho cheese Doritos but no more, I don't like flavored chips at all anymore. At all. Not crazy about the french onion dip either. And the combo of an overly flavored chip with an overly flavored dip makes me shudder.

I remembered to buy bags of mini carrots with my potato chips today. So I won't have to go through that weird post-potato chip craving and not have the carrots.

message 83: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I have both tato chips and carrots right now. The carrots are currently being ignored.

message 84: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments I have carrots but no chips.

::thinks she probably skated to and from store for carrots, as well::
