This is the first time in a long time that I've read a book for adults. Although its mainly because I was trying to decide if I should keep it in the teen area or move it to the adult collection. At 600 and something pages, I thought that this was going to feel like homework. But it didn't! This was a great book that made me cry quite a bit. Imagine this: aliens that look like silverfish being implanted into the back of your head and taking over your body. Best case, your mind dies immediately while your body lives on. Worst case, you are stuck in your own mind forced to share it with the alien. This is what happens to our main character Melanie and the alien implanted in her, Wanderer.
