"And I'm very prepared to rid you of all that," Drake said, staring straight at the boy's face.

message 1454: by [deleted user] (new)

Felix actually thought about the possabilities. After a while, he shook his head. "No," he said thoughtfully. "I don't think that that's possible."

message 1456: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm oozing with luck." Felix said haughtly, prepared for the threat.

((Yes, Fregey. Yes, I did.))

An arrow whizzed past Drake's head, courtesy of Airlia Colomba, daugther of Eros. "Hi, Drake," she said, advancing with her longsword in hand. "Missed me?"

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Sam stayed tense, waiting, waiting, waiting...

message 1466: by [deleted user] (new)

Felix narrowed his eyes. He didn't like anyone fighting hiw battles.

Drake scowled. That little part, the part of him that had been affected the most by Airlia's lust magic, wanted to scream yes a thousand times. Then there was his sanity, so he simply scowled.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Sam snickered, and relaxed gently, but not a lot. She stared at Drake with an amused expression.

Without a second glance at the girl or the other boy, Airlia stepped forward until she was not three centimeters from Drake. She was, as always, the picture of seduction, and tilted her head up to stare at those dark eyes, avoiding the urge to shudder at the reptile coldness. "Did you?" she asked in a near-murmur, eyes half-closed. She left the magic open so that it threatened to take over her as well, and she tried desperately to control it so Drake wouldn't completely lose control of himself.
"Did you?" she repeated in a still lower voice, lips half-parted.

message 1470: by [deleted user] (new)

Felix shot his bow.
Not at Drake.
Not at Sam, and definatly not Arilia.
The arrow whizzed past there heads and hit a tree behind them with a soft twang.

Hands tensed around the weapon he'd used so many times before, Drake glared at each of them in turn, confusion flickering in the back of his mind as he so desperately fought to keep the band of sanity in tact. His breath turned shallow.
"Leave," he began in a hoarse whisper. "All of you, leave."

message 1472: by [deleted user] (new)

Felix didn't know whether to do so or not. He looked at Sam, asking her silently if she was leaving or not.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Sam looked back at Felix, tgen at Drake's hand. Only if you want to, her eyes said clearly. She feared for the girl, but wanted to leave.

Airlia didn't look anywhere but Drake. It took every inch of her concentration to keep staring seductively into his eyes-- the same eyes that looked on cruelly after whippets of blood-- on innocent skin...

message 1475: by [deleted user] (new)

Felix shook his head. SHe might need the help, his eyes told Sam/

With a faint smile, Airlia turned to Felix and Samantha both. Her eyes were fierce and determined.
Leave, she mouthed.

Drake held her gaze, angry. Cold eyes betrayed nothing, thankfully they were far too used to hiding whatever he might have been feeling. His entire body was ready, waiting for the signal to attack each and every person there, though he sent no signal. He simply stood there.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Will you be ok? Sam mouthed back, her eyes hard as she stared past her at Drake.

message 1479: by ., Goddess of Bacon (new)

Airlia didn't say anything to Sam but turned back to Drake. The faint flicker of determination in her eyes spoke for her.
Apprehension trembled, a dark pit of despair, in her stomach as she pushed the lust magic farther, this time merely as a shield to protect her.

*~Silvypoo~* (Chaser of Artemis) (Silverfur) | 14363 comments Without a word, Sam spun on her heel, gripping Felix's arm as she walked out.

"What do you want?" his tone was quiet. His lips had scarcely moved. The scowl had faded, though not completely.

message 1482: by ., Goddess of Bacon (new)

. (onawhim) | 17465 comments Mod
Here she would have to play it quietly. She'd have to play it well.
Keeping the revulsion buried deep inside her, Airlia's hand strayed to Drake's clenched tight on his whip. She kept her eyes, wide, silvery hazel eyes, on Drake's.
"You," she whispered, pushing the magic still further, further, as further as she dared.

message 1483: by Iviana (The Sign Painter), The Goddess of indecisiveness (new)

Iviana (The Sign Painter) Mʘ‿ʘP (thesignpainter) | 34142 comments Mod
"No." The answer was automatic. Drake clenched his teeth, rage stirring, confusion prominent, and, of course, there was lust. The fist around the whip seemed to loosen, very slightly.

message 1484: by ., Goddess of Bacon (new)

. (onawhim) | 17465 comments Mod
"Why no?" she asked, stepping closer, eyes on his lips-- her own were still half-open, washing minty breath over Drake's face.
This was it.
She completely unplugged the magic's hold on her and watched with baited breath for the effect it would have on him.

Iviana (The Sign Painter) Mʘ‿ʘP (thesignpainter) | 34142 comments Mod
He completely released his hold on his whip. The sound wasn't half as loud as his whip's crack, though it satisfied him all the same. He'd raised his hand and slapped the girl hard across her face.
Drake took two steps back, rage burning in his dark eyes.

. (onawhim) | 17465 comments Mod
Airlia staggereed back, her head snapping back with the impact. Her blonde hair flew and she gasped out for breath-- the pain was hot and almost unbearable, but she recovered almost immediately. Fury burned in her own eyes, hair tousled around her, one cheek red from the slap.
The magic poured from her like a tsunami of furious, anamalistic lust and as she stood up, her hand grasped the whip that had been Drake's for so long.
"Why?" she asked again, raising her chin and stepping forward again. Her full mouth was set in a furious, beautiful, scowl-- her eyes glared with such intensity at Drake that if she'd been looking in a mirror, she would have recoiled.

Iviana (The Sign Painter) Mʘ‿ʘP (thesignpainter) | 34142 comments Mod
The rage dissipated, replaced by a sudden, small but growing fear. Drake opened his mouth to give a sort of witty retort, thought better of it, then closed his mouth once more, still in shock at her sudden outburst. His hands gripped nothing as the whip was ripped from his grasp. Dear gods...

"Answer me," Airlia said, taking one more step so she was pressed against him, eyes blazing. "Answer me now."

"Would you believe me if I told you that I blame it it on my mother?" Drake asked.

message 1490: by ., Goddess of Bacon (new)

. (onawhim) | 17465 comments Mod
To say that this was the answer Airlia hadn't expected would be a massive understatement.
Rage dimmed down to a simmering fury.
"I think most of us at camp understand a mother's disappointment too well," Airlia said bitterly, stepping back but still fixing him with those eyes. She didn't know whether it was the lust magic speaking, or if she'd finally broken him... but she was willing to take a risk.

Drake gave her a bitter smile. "She gave me that whip. She told me to kill. She told me a shit load more, and then some." He, of course, would never admit that to anyone, ever.

message 1492: by ., Goddess of Bacon (new)

. (onawhim) | 17465 comments Mod
"And why would you listen to her?" Airlia said, mouth twisted. "Why would you listen to someone that told you to kill?"
