Very enlightening! Being a new reader in the series, I haven't really browsed around too much on your website (except to look at the map). I'm going to have to make a more thorough examination of it for sure!
Thanks, Janny, for sharing that link. What a tragic turn of events. And the final sentence of the last paragraph on that web page left me forlorn.

I did, of course, mean MISunderstanding. Sorry about that.Sandra, that does seem true doesn't it. And the impression I get is that it going to keep on going that way.

Dawn - be careful - there be SPOILERS on the Paravia site. They will not be marked in the FAQ section - we try to keep the chat clean as possible. There is a lot of info packed in there, but watch your step, because some of the best fun in the stories could be unveiled prematurely.
Unless that doesn't matter to you - :)

Kerry and Jon - wow - I thought I was unshelling one nut, only to trip you folks on another.
Consider the wording - how do you interpret 'eventually' - grin.
I can see there needs to be a further unfolding of history, but that must wait for another moment, since there are denouements coming in the main story.

Here is a 'special' page link designed for this discussion - it (and this topic) will be kept current to the ongoing discussion. I will hold it spoiler free as best I can - and update it as needed.
The splinter worlds are the opening setting for the story - and may (after that) seem a distant detail - but there are no irrelevant details, and more about the splinter worlds will emerge as the books progress.

These notes were originally written to answer a reader question about the feud on Dascen Elur - as you can see, nothing was so cut and dried or simple as might be presumed.
