Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments I just came across a few books added by and attributed to this author:
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

They caught my eye because they all lack the ISBN, most, if not all, are only rated by the author and the publisher is also listed as the author.
I searched two sites so far and come up with nothing for the author name and nothing for the few titles I searched. I'm wondering if anyone else can come up with something.
I also sent the author a message asking him if he could provide the information and/or a site to cross reference.

Marilu | 65 comments I tried. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything either. I did find the author on a site called author's den when I googled his name and book title. From what I read on his author's den profile, all of his works are audiobooks and his name is typed 3rd Hawkins not Third as it appears here. So I tried searching that way as well.
Is there anyway to figure out who added the book in the first place. They all appear to be paperbacks, with a page count. However, according to his other profile he only does audiobooks.
I will keep looking and see what I can find out.

Carolyn (seeford) | 573 comments You can see who added the book on the edit page for the book. Scroll to the very bottom of the page. But I think Eva said in her OP that the author added them. = )

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Yes, the author himself added him and I also saw the discrepancies with his name and the books being audio or PB. I'm still looking also and have messaged the author but I have a feeling I won't be hearing back.
I'm wondering why, if they are actually books, they can't be found anywhere to be purchased at least.
I even, just for fun, did a search on book swapping sites and can up with nothing for his name, both names, or the titles. It's very weird.
Thanks for looking and I'll continue also.

My guess is self-published works in very limited release -- hence no ISBN, and the publisher = author.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments This is the first time I've come across that. So we leave it as-is rivka? Or should anything change?
Is it common for self-published books to not have an ISBN? I thought those also had the ISBN #'s?

Books have ISBNs if someone pays for them. ;) If sold via any bookstore, they pretty much must have one (unless the bookstore has codes of its own, like Amazon's ASINs). But if sold only by the author, and a limited number, they may not have one.

Yes, leave them be.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments I never knew that rivka. Wow, I assumed ISBNs were something given out to any book when it was published, even self-published words. You learn something new every day. :) Thanks a lot!
