I'm helping PJ out with this, so I'll be posting questions/problems here as well.
Post 1201 - Amy
Amy, there is already an "Amy" on the readerboard, and I'm guessing it isn't you since you say this is your first post. Could you pick some addition to your name so it will be clear which posts are yours? (There's already an Amy and an Amy VA on the board). Just indicate in your posts what name you're using. Thanks!
Also from this post, are you claiming a Big Books ticket for An Echo in the Bone?

15.1) borrowed(1971) Gerdel - John Gardner/(blue cover) Peter Pan - J.M. Barrie
40+15=55
Task 15.1 requires 2 books one OLD & one NEW;
then one of those BORROWED and the other BLUE
BORROWED and BLUE together doesn't work.
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

15.3 - Books And Blogs
Undead and Unemployed by MaryJanice Davidson - ★ ★ ★ ★
http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/i...
Task 15.3 also requires "and a review of the book."
In the task help thread Cynthia clarified "You provide the link to the blog and write your own review of the book."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

20.10 The Book Thief Markus Zusak (20 points)
Task 20.10 requires at least one post in the book discussion thread http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/343970-the-book-thief-discussion
You will need to do a new post for this task.

To everyone - if your name that shows up on your message is different than the name that's listed for you on the readerboard, PLEASE sign your post with the name used on the readerboard. You don't need to change your goodreads name - just note your "readerboard identity" in your post. Otherwise, it's difficult to credit points to the right person.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I see that you edited post 1195, though I'm not sure what you changed.
What would help me is a note like this at the top of your post:
New Task(s): 15.2
Post 1203 - Jessy
Cynthia requires that you either include a link to the book, or list both the author and the title.
Also, assuming that this is the book by Sarah Addison Allen, are you claiming a Goodreads Author ticket?

Post 1205 - Morgan
Are you on the readerboard as Morgan US?
Also, are you claiming a Big Books ticket for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or do you already have your 750 page BB ticket?

The requirements for 30.5 are
30.5 - DLM Rose's Task - Virtual Block Party
Summer in my (DLM Rose's) neighborhood means potluck barbecues where each family brings a dish to share.
Identify your signature dish - it can be a food or beverage (someone needs to bring the margaritas!)
Choose 2:
A. Read a fiction book with a food or beverage in the title - the item could be the dish itself
Lemon Meringue Pie Murder or or an ingredient in your dish such as Lime Tree Can't Bear Orange: A Novel (for those margaritas!).
B. Read a novel with recipes (EXAMPLE:Like Water for Chocolate).
C. Read a food-related non-fiction book (non-cookbook). (EXAMPLE: The End of Food)
D. Read a cookbook related to your dish. (EXAMPLE: Margaritas, Mojitos & More)
Include your contribution to the party in your post, and let us know what makes your recipe stand out.
Your post listed
30.5 The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen
and
Cooking for One: 150 Delicious Recipes to Treat Yourself by Amy Willcock
Posted recipe for black bean corn salsa
It's not clear how the two books you list relate to these requirements - I looked at your recipe for black bean corn salsa and it doesn't seem to include "sugar."
If this is a dish you're bringing to a potluck, it's not clear how a cookbook on "cooking for one" relates to your dish.
Also, please be sure to include "what makes your recipe stand out."

Thanks that helps a lot. I'll change the Readerboard (both G. and CA so Cynthia knows what we're doing).

5.7 - A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick
Task 5.7 requires that the book have a "mode of travel pictured on the cover." When I looked at the book cover on goodreads, I didn't see one. Can you give more information?

P.S. Thanks PJ and Sandy. I always wondered if I could do this, but I think it looks too much like math!

I'm assuming from your post that you're only including the information on task 25.9 for informational purposes. When you claim points for this task, be sure to include all the books read for it, including any parts that you may have posted earlier.
Thanks!

The spreadsheet takes care of the math. What takes time and patience is:
- Matching posts to Readerboard for people with the same name
- Verifying that all task requirements are met
- Checking that either a book link OR book + author is posted
- Tracking claims for Goodreads Authors and Big Books
- Verifying Goodreads Authors
- For some posts, figuring out which tasks have already been counted, which are in process and which are actually being claimed
- For other posts, finding the task and book/author in all the words, words, words.
I do hope Cynthia has easier ways of doing some of this than I've figured out so far.
What Helps:
- People with unique names or who include their Readerboard name at the top of the post
- Posts where it's easy to find the new task(s) and book(s)/author(s)
- Posts where it's clear that all task requirements are met (covers, pages, settings, etc.)
- Posts which include a cumulative point total
- Posts with links for Goodreads Authors and Big Books

Great ideas, Belinda! and thanks to PJ and Sandy for taking on the complex task with Cynthia!

It'll show up in the next update. I should have asked you to do a new post, but backed up to update your points in the spreadsheet I'm using.

Post 1233 - Coralie
Cynthia requires that you post either a link or the author and title. You've listed The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm - there are a bunch of different versions of Grimm's fairy tales with different "authors" (presumably editors). Please specify.
Also, please note if you're claiming a Big Books ticket for this one.

but for Eragon by Christopher Paolini- I did have a Big Book (500+ pages)-- did you get that?
Thank you.
Kathy (G.) CA

Definitely need a new post. You can mention that you're reposting. The task in the new post should have all the information to show compliance with the task requirements (covers, pages, settings, awards, dates, dice results, where read, etc.). Goodreads Authors/Big Book claims will need to be included again.

It will be counted when we get to the new post.

I have completed: Task 30.2 - PJ Reads ( from Shannon SA) - The Children, by reading:
a) The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Speare (children's classic, published in 1958. Winner of the 1959 Newbery Medal. I rated this novel 4 stars and thought it very good but slightly predictable (through adult eyes).
b) Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos which features eleven year old Clare Hobbs as one of the two main characters. I rated this novel 2.5 stars. It had a lot of potential and interesting characters but it was just okay.
Task 30.2A requires "AND either pass it on, or recommend it to a child (give details when you claim your points)."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

5.6. When The Bough Breaks (Alex Delaware, #1)—Jonathon Kellerman
I'm not accepting private detectives for this task because not all detective novels include "spying" on people.
15.1. Something Blue—Giffin, Emily
Task 15.1 is a 2 book task:
"A. OLD - Read an old book (to qualify as an old book it must have been published before you were born).
AND
B. NEW - Read a book written by a new author i.e. a book by an author you haven't read previously.
BORROWED - One of the books above must be borrowed (from the library, from a friend or family member etc.)
BLUE - And the other book must either have a blue cover or the word blue in the title.
(I.E. You need to read an old book that is borrowed and a new book that is blue OR an old book that is blue and a new book that is borrowed.)"
30.5. Poor Girl Gourmet—McCoy, Amy and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Eating Clean—Welland, Diane
Task 30.5 requires "Include your contribution to the party in your post, and let us know what makes your recipe stand out."
* 5.10 is 500+ pages, so I am claiming a big book ticket.
*25.9 is 500+ pages, so I am claiming a big book ticket.
You can only get 3 Big Book tickets: One each for 500+ pp, 750+ pp and 1000+ pp.
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

15.3 Books and Blogs - I read Pretty in Plaid by Jen Lancaster.
I love to read Jen's blog at www.jennsylvania.com and she talks about all her books (and others). A very fun blog
Task 15.3 also requires "and a review of the book."
In the task help thread Cynthia clarified "You provide the link to the blog and write your own review of the book."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

25.6 Swine Not by Jimmy Buffett - One of my favorite summer songs is Cuban Crime of Passion by Jimmy Buffett.
Task 25.6 also requires "the connection to the book, and you must say why it reminds you of summer."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

This is a plea for help. Please include a note at the top of your post like this:
New Tasks Completed: 5.2, 10.8It takes a long time to find the new tasks when they're mixed with tasks previously posted and tasks in progress (and obviously I do not have Cynthia's patience).

25.5 In Pale Battalions by Robert Goddard Historical Fiction
This is the the story of a young woman's who life is shrouded by a murder that takes place during WWI.
The Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner Biography/Autobiography/Memoir
This is a tale of a man's battle with homlessness and single fatherhood, while he attempts to establish himself as a stockbroker
Task 25.5 also requires "and an explanation of why your like that genre/type."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

30.5 - A novel with recipes...American Cookery: A Novel by Laura Kalpakian (4 stars) and food-related non-fiction book...Consuming Passions: A Food-Obsessed Life by Michael Lee West (3 stars) Goodreads Author
I don't cook, so I don't have a recipe to share. My boyfriend is the cook of the family so he makes something to bring to potlucks/barbecues.
This task requires "Include your contribution to the party in your post, and let us know what makes your recipe stand out.""
PJ...I already stated above that part. I don't contribute or cook anything. Sorry.

You could tell what your boy friend brings and why it's special.
Or it could be an imaginary food or beverage (it is a virtual block party).

15.3 Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen by Julie Powell (6/18/10)

I am on the board as Morgan US, and I will claim a Big Books ticket, because it was 759 pages, and I haven't claimed one for 750+ yet. Should I modify my post in the Challenge Completed Tasks thread?

Finally completed a third task.
20.10 Hunger Games
Cynthia requires that you either include a link to the book, or list both the author and the title.
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

25.5 Favorite Genres. I like alot of differnt types of books so my favorite genre is always changing. Currently my favorite is Mysteries so I read Blood Relations. I like mysteries because I like to see if I can put the pieces of the puzzle together and solve the case. This one was the 6th in the series. These are nice cozy mysteries.
My second favorite genre is Fantasy. I love that I can be transported to a different time and place and get lost in a good story. So I read Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George. Both books got 4* from me.
Jessica Day George is a goodreads author.
Task 25.5 also requires "Write a short review for each ..."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
Reposts need to include all task requirements: previously posted items plus previously omitted items.

30.5 Confections of a Closet Master Baker by Gesine Bullock-Prado and Recipe of the week: burgers: 52 easy recipes for year-round cooking by Sally Sampson. I really enjoyed both books. I thought Prado did a great job of (1) explaining why baking is so fulfilling and (2) why obesity and baking/bakeries are not connected. Not that those were her goals, but those parts really resonated with me
Task 30.5 requires "Include your contribution to the party in your post, and let us know what makes your recipe stand out."
You will need to do a new post for this task.
