That is on my list of never have but one day MUST reads! My grandmother has always been in love with it.

It was alright, but I probably wouldn't recommend it.
I'm currently reading The Scarlett Letter and Grimm's Fairy Tales, and I want to start The Republic.
Also Mockingjay, the third book in the Hunger Games series, comes out in a few days and I can't wait to read it!

Oh, I have that edition! It's so wonderful!

Love the Thirteenth Tale. I read it in a book club years ago and ended up getting it on Paper Back Swap.

Anyway, this summer I'm reading the Millennium trilogy. My Mom gave me the first book (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) for my birthday. She mostly bought it for me as a symbol of Swedish Pride.
I have to say, it's pretty good. The first was excellent, the second was good (it felt like a second book, rather than a story that can stand alone). One of my buddies just finished the third and said it wraps together very well.
The best thing about it is Lisbeth Salander, though. Fascinating female character.

"The Help," "The Book Thief," and "Looking for Alaska." I'm currently reading, "Little Women." I'm glad that I waited to read this book as an adult. I don't think I would have appreciated Jo's spunk and the progressiveness of this novel in my childhood.

They were all totally different books but very very good :)
I wanted to see what everyone was talking about, so I finally picked up The Hunger Games - very interesting read! Quite entertaining, and gives you lots to think about! - Sarah

Also pending "Remarkable Creatures" by Tracy Chevalier, "Kafka on the shore" by Murakami and the new Anne Rice book which name I can't remember right now.

I am also appeasing my inner child and FINALLY reading Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising sequence. As soon as I finish this Millennium book, I'll be ready to start Greenwitch, the third book in the sequence. It's obviously not a new, sensational series, but it stands the test of time well, and should appeal to anyone who enjoys YA fantasy and the King Arthur legends/Celtic history.
Also, I bought a book at the airport last week called The End of Mr. Y by Scarlett Thomas. Totally judged it by its cover, but the description sounded very intriguing, so I'm hoping it lives up. Has anyone read it? Or any of her other books? They all sounded rather intriguing, that one just struck me the most as a place to start, but if I like it I plan to read her others.

Changeless (The Parasol Protectorate #2) by Gail Carriger

I know a couple of people reading Sherlock this summer because of the new BBC adaptation. It's so cool when classic stories get an enthusiasm bump! -Martha
