I know what you mean. I have been switching between reading the Kindle and reading paperbooks that I have accumulated. The paperbook I am currently reading has a small font and I sooooo want to enlarge it.
Where are those cheap drug store reading glasses when I need them??! LOL

Corina (cjc1225) | 4 comments I am reading my first print book since I got my Kindle last Christmas and am finding it very difficult. My hand cramps from holding the paperback and I can't figure out what to do with the pages I've read. Did I use to fold them back? Awkward. Awkward. Awkward. Then I can't control the font size and even with correction my vision is horrible! Once I finish this book, I don't think I will try picking up another actual book. I'll stick with my Kindle.

Tom Hansen (scarhoof) | 2 comments I pre-ordered Brandon Sanderon's new book The Way of Kings in both hardback and Kindle. One to read and stay nice and shiny, another to put on the shelf and look nice and un-fingermarked.

Personally, I think this is the way to go for future big-releases. Author signs a book, you keep it as a collectible, but you read the ebook so you don't damage the original hardback.

Now I just wish publishers would put out Special Edition Hardbacks with ebooks included. Kinda like the whole Blu-Ray with digital copy. Best of both worlds!

I've actually read several bloggers speculate that this is exactly what will happen sometime in the future...print + digital copy packages. It might be a good thing. I know I have purchased bound copies of several Kindle books I have because I wanted to have the actual book for lending and well, just to have it!

Tom Hansen (scarhoof) | 2 comments I had a crazy idea a while back: Sell fake books with the dust jackets along with the ebook (foam, cardboard or something).

Customer gets something to put on their shelf that looks like a book, but costs almost nothing to print and ship since it's so light, and publisher gets a couple extra bucks from the person buying the ebook.

But I'm sure the Publishers would want a whole lot more than a couple of extra bucks! ;)

Ha Ha.:) I agree Corina. I always have to laugh when people who refuse to get an ereader use the excuse "I just like the feel of a book." Sorry, for me, the physical book isn't the point. It's the story that unfolds on the pages. When I'm reading an actual book, I always have to stop for minute and think, "Oh yeah, I have to actually turn the page, there's no button here." And then there's no easy way to look up a word I don't know the meaning of. I am sticking to ebooks myself!!! LOL

Crown Publishing (crownpublishing) | 1 comments Ebooks, printed books - I love them all. I have to agree it's about the story. Although I absolutely love ereaders when I've finished a book and can't wait to read the sequel or just another story and don't want to wait to purchase the physical book. Ebooks = instant gratification.

Aaron (scruffynerfer) I've just finished reading my DTB and my feelings towards reading one again are different to what I imagined. I had no problem reading the book and the font size was reasonable. The story was engaging and easy to read so there was no need for a dictionary. Everything went quite well and i enjoyed the holiday from the kindle.

What I noticed as well is that a few days ago I went on a trip to a place around about 2 away, for this I took the train. To keep me (and my brain) occupied I took a book, but I had to choice between the Kindle and the DTB. I chose the DTB beacuse A. I wanted to get through it and that was a great time to and B. I wouldn't be distracted by knowing that if I started loosing concentration then I couldn't just jump into another book and start reading that. This became I really good decision. I steamed my way through a big chunk of the book that day. Still, don't get me wrong, I still love my Kindle, I but I will also carry on reading DTB's if I have to, but if there is a Kindle version i'm still going to be choosing that.

Ann | 83 comments I hope someone else can tell me if they have the same issue as I do. I rely on public transportation, and I live in New England, when it's very cold out in the winter, my kindle won't work-my mp3 player either, Is there anyone else who has this problem? So, in the frigid weather we have up here, I save all of the print books ppl loan or give me, or some I buy, because they are not yet available in kindle format. But I prefer reading on my kindle...I'm saving up my credit card points, and redeeming them for Amazon gift cards to upgrade the new kindle.

Huh, I live in Michigan and our winters are probably just as cold and I've never had a problem. But I don't usually read on the bus in the morning (it'll put me to sleep), maybe that's why I haven't had a problem. I do listen to my MP3 player and I know I've never had problems with that in the cold.

Ann | 83 comments I've called tech support, and they have told me most electronics are temp. sensative. Usually, it happends when I've been out in the cold for a long time-I like to walk when I can.
