Did you actually listen to the song? The instrumental arrangement is just as haunting as the lyrics. It gives me chills every time I listen to it.
I don't know why I didn't think of it before. I listen to the song all the time but for some reason it just hit me on the way to work this morning when it popped up on my iPod. Such a great song! I'll be the victim

Some of my favorites are…. Halestorm - Familiar Taste of Poison
(This one would be good for Mac's struggle with herself and her feelings for Barrons after awakening from her pri-ya state and realizing that Barrons is her new form of poison)
Stateless - Inscape
(Just a sexy song that I feel fits some of Mac and Barron's intimate moments together)
Scanners - Salvation
(I love this song for the series. It feels like a Mac song through and through. It's haunting and the lyrics work well for a lot of her feeling throughout the series)
Fireflight - All I Need To Be
(This one makes me think of Barrons molding Mac into the fighter that she needs to be)
The xx - night time
(This one make me think of the way that Barrons and Mac both hold the true weight of their feelings for each other to themselves and how badly each one wants to spill)
Red-Pieces
(This song makes me think of how Barrons brings Mac back from her Pri-ya state and how that effects her emotionally)
Adele - Rolling in the Deep
(The perfect song for Darroc and Alina relationship based on Alina's diary and the story Darroc shares with Mac about how they met and what each of them felt all the up to him finding her dead)
Athlete - Airport Disco
(I don't have a neat little synopsis for this song. It just makes me think of the series. Parts of me make me think of Barrons trying to get Mac to admit her feeling in Shadowland about him.. other parts make me think of her trying to figure out what she is and how her emotions on going to effect her decision to save the world)
Yael Naim - Toxoc
(I love this version of Britney's song.. it's hauntingly beautiful and I truly think it's the perfect song for Mac's feeling towards Barrons based on the type of man that he is)
… so those are my favorites for the series. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.
It's great to have a playlist to put on when your in the mood to reread one of your favorite books, but don't have the time. For that reason.. I created one for the Fever Series. I'm really proud of how it turned out and I figured I'd share with fellow fans.

when i was reading the books, Christina Perri's A Thousand Years was playing on the radio and I think it really suits the series.
Thought I would revive this thread in honour of the upcoming release of High Voltage with the thought that, having recently re-read Iced, Burned, FB and FS, I was struck by how well the song 'Gem' by Penelope Austin sums up the Dani/Ryo relationship. Of course I want Barrons to give Mac his love and I'm hoping he will in the end....but I think this song fits how their relationship is going at the moment. Love it!
