Ask Me No Questions I just finished this book. It was very thought provoking. The main character is a teenage girl originally from Bangladesh. Her family came to New York City in the mid 1990s on a tourist visa, but had no intention of going home. Back then, security wasn't so tight and no one really monitored those sorts of things. Then September 11th happened and all of a sudden, these things mattered and these people were dangerous. The girl's father is detained while trying to get his family into Canada for amnesty and his 2 daughters are told to return to New York City and go on as if nothing has changed. This is a very important book for young people and adults as we talk about immigration and illegal aliens in our country today.
