This doesn't sound very open minded of me, but it probably won't be on the top of my tbr list just because I prefer a female protagonist. Also because there's only one book out so far and I can't just keep reading the first book of every series and going no further LOL! ;)

ETA: OMG I am so sexist! Just to clarify I do read and enjoy male first person POV but just tend to connect to a female more!

I am obsessed with the series! Unholy Ghosts has been on my tbr list for years. I finally read it. I then preceded to read the next 4 books. Then Book #1 again, then the Novella from Terrible's POV, the books #2 & #3 again, then the Prequel Novella and several short stories. This is in a 10 day time period. I have never in my life re-read a book that I just read the week before.

I can't believe how obsessed I am!

I understand too, Josie. I've tried to continue reading more of my existing, ongoing series this year instead of 101 different #1s. I've read some but not as many as previous yrs. I'm still waiting -very impatiently at this point- for the next Downside book.

I really recommend both the prequel about Chess, and the "novella" (it's 150 pages, so more like a short book!) about Terrible. I thought they were both excellently written and stay very true to the characters.

I hate it when you read a prequel and it seems like to not fit in the world, or when you read a guys POV and it either seems like a stranger, or totally diminishes your feelings about the character. I'm hard to please in these areas, and I'm a tough rater when it comes to books (Only 9% of my 2810 rated books are 5 Stars).

So GO! Go! Read them! RIGHT NOW! (I'm also kind of bossy, ROFL)

I know! Any glimpse of Chess or Terrible would be wonderful! I miss them so much! Downside is probably the series I check most frequently for updates. Followed closely by IAD. I mean, I really just need Nix's book and then Kresley Cole can quit. Of course, if she wants to give us more, I will read them but Nix's HEA is what I need to be satisfied if we are never going to get any more stories from that world.

Also, I am excited about other new SK ... Made For Sin was good. It would have made a good series. I can't wait to see what's coming out.
