I know. :D This is what I do in my spare time instead of, say, filling out college applications or studying for the SATs. (Which I was unpleasantly surprised to realize are only in a couple of weeks.)
Yeah...The thing is I'm completely unprepared for the math section. I'm not exaggerating here. If I don't get some reviewing done - pardon my french - I'm royally fucked. Last year in algebra II, I literally did nothing but stare in the general direction of the board to make it look like I was following along. I can count the number of times I genuinely tried to pay attention on one hand. No joke. Annoyingly enough, I got an A in that class. I NEVER DID HOMEWORK. NEVER.And this year, I don't have a math class at all. (I chose BASIC and Intro to Java, but those classes got dropped from the curriculum...so yeah.) I really need to get myself a tutor or something. ^_^'
Oh my gosh - I have Algebra II next year. Did you pay attention enough to be able to tell me if it was hard?!
Eh. I was placed in level 3 instead of honors, so it was beyond easy for me. Like I said, I never ever paid attention, out of all the times we got homework I only did it twice, and yet I got an A almost every marking period. Actually, I was thrilled to find out I got a B the last marking period. I was like, "Finally! This is closer to the grade I actually deserve!" Funny, eh?But, from the little I recall... It's not that difficult. A lot of it is buildup from Algebra I. I could look through my old stuff to see what we went over, if you like. I'll have to do it anyway for the SATs.
Lol, that'd be nice, if you don't mind :) I'm a little worried, after starting geometry, and being in way over my head :)
Sure, I'll do that tomorrow. :)Weirdly enough, I loved geometry. Figuring out why things were congruent, applying theorems... I got the same sort of thrill as when I'm doing logic puzzles. ^_^'
I love proofs (I actually get them!), but that's really about all, I can do without being super confused. Thanks to my teacher...

Oh.Wow.
Worst.
Movie.
Ever.
(I will not elaborate for my sanity sake.I lost five hours if sleep for it. I will revenge it. Feel free to post what you think)
OOOHHHHH, I dont like the acting.... but the actors are all beautiful and funny!!!! Kristen Stewart needs to IMPROVE her acting skills, for example.... bella" aghh...gurgles.......ughhhh....ahhhh" that part is sooooo gay, it made me laugh..... but I like the movie it was sooooo hilarious and they've kept some of the parts!!!
Okay, I am offically sick of this stupid movie, and it hasn't even been out 24 hours. Here's my point of view. So, I walk into my spanish class, and there's this Twi-hard that sits near me (Majorly. T-shirts, fan-fics, the works), and she comes in. Red and black bands around her neck, leg, wrists and hair, Twilight movie shirt, Twilight movie button, Twilight jacket...well, I was about ready to puke. Anyways, she plops her stuff down, yawns and starts complaining about how tired she is. So, I asked, "Well...why?" And you know what? She got two hours of sleep last night. Why? Because she chose to go see Twilight, and I have to suffer through to class periods with her complaining about how tired she is. I was so ready to shoot her.

That movie sounds so stupid that in a fight between Edward and a tree Chuck Norris would be the winner.

yeah,.... though for a Twilight LOVER I didnt like the movie that much.... I was completely dissapointed, but the funny thing is that the ones who didnt read the book liked it...ewww.....
People, I went to the movie yesterday, and I HAD SO MUCH FUN, I AM NOT SHITTING YOU. It is definitely better than the book, so don't you dare feel guilty Jes. Plus, the entertainment factor vastly changes with different mediums, so it's completely possible to love an awful movie.
Just a moment, I posted a lot of my thought on the movie on LJ, I'm going to paste it here. I don't want to type THAT monster again.
I was so psyched up to go, and I've got to say, it was definitely worth it. I even made t-shirts with anti-fan slogans on them for the occasion. (Mine: Just say no to sparkles. My friend's: Twilight gives me hope that one I, too, will publish my own fanfic.) Alas, our theatre was full to the BRIM with prepubescent Edward fangirls of the screaming variety. (How did I know they were Edward fangirls? You'll see...) Even during the previews. They actually started screaming when the trailer for The Unborn was playing. Because they were scared. Oi vey.
When Edward first appears with his whole family - in slow-mo no less, gods I had to laugh - EVERYONE STARTED SCREAMING. >_< I wanted to yell, "Yeah, I've always wanted to know what it's like to fuck a popsickle", but my friend Sophie said she'd kill me if I did. She's a fellow anti-fan, but with a sense of self-preservation, unlike me.
My thoughts on the movie:
~I'd have to say, the sparkling was rather disappointing. I was expecting more glitter. But this line totally made up for it: "This. Is the skin. OF A KILLER." Can anyone say Narm?
~I swear, I thought I saw Pattinson suppress a laugh at the line: "I like to watch you sleep."
~I bet Edward didn't realize his distant cousin Disco Ball was crashing his prom. XD
~That was some ANVILICIOUS foreshadowing at the end. Something Edward says about all the "wolves coming down" after Jacob talks to Bella.
~I kinda, might have shouted at the screen when I realized that Meyer made a cameo in her own movie. I know it's done all the time, and it was nowhere near M. Night Shamalan's Lady in the Water obnoxious, but still.
~The dialogue may have been stilted and slightly forced, but the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. I've noticed in a lot of movies I've seen lately (Chronicles of Narnia, I'm looking at you) that scenery shots tend to evoke deja vu a la Lord of the Rings. And Twilight managed to avoid that completely. Good job, whoever was in charge of that.
~The guy who plays Eric is the cutest Asian kid I have ever seen.
~I understand now why some people love Jasper so much. He is like an anime bishonen COME TO LIFE.
~Carlisle looks like a member of the Russian mafia. Seriously.
There, my two cents in a nutshell. Anyone else's observations?

You know, as a movie in its own right, it isn't horrible. In comparison to the book, it's pretty good. Considering that the actors managed to bring life to some originally flat or underdeveloped characters, I give them a thumbs up.
OMG these two people in my carpool are in love with Twilight and they saw the movie, and they said that they screamed when Edward came on. Then they started arguing on who had dibs to marry Robert Pattinson!!! We are in Jr high for crying out loud. One day, she had a Twilight CD, and shreiked in terror when she dropped it!!!!!!
ew my friend saw the movie and has now left this group and joined the luvers group being all wwell i wrote about it here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/7...
*cant help to burst into laughter* You think I enjoy carpooling with these people? My FRIENDS mom drives us home from school, and shes agree to take my FRIENDS porblem COUSIN and her friend(AKA Twilight lovers) I hate it so, I "blog" for lack of a better term
Hey guys, you should definitely check this out:http://community.livejournal.com/m15m...
It's Twilight m15m (movies in 15 minutes). It's a parody/summary of Twilight. You should really check out the rest of Cleolinda's livejournal as well. She's got some pretty funny recaps of all the Twilight books. I swear, you'll bust out laughing. I'm not sure why I didn't mention her before.
i saw the movie today.. it was alright.. still weird.. jasper, eric, and alice were soooo hot! i didn't get y bella had to go for mr. bipolar disorder instead of for the cute asian. oh well it was alright pretty funny for the most part because it took edward like 5 minutes just to kiss bella. my friend and i were like wtf? and as for the sparkles... my friend said outloud in the theater "He doesn't change!!" lol everyone laughed because of how dramatic edward made it sound.. thats my opinion
My twilight movie review:
It was funny, though it wasnt supposed to be.
Edward acted much more like a lonesome freak than the "Hot vampire dude" that he is made out to be. He also spoke like english was his second language sometimes.
After a while i am sad to say that Robert Pattison grew on me, Not Edward. Robert Pattison; dont get it twisted.
I liked that scene where he was wearing the sunglasses, and they were walking through the parking lot. He almost seemed human there. Kristen Stewart played a very very good insane masochist. Edward said and i quote "Ive never wanted human blood more than i want yours. I want to kill you." and she said very nonchalantly "I dont care." I thought that Kristen Stewart would be a bad actress, but she turned out to be very good. She was whiny, annoying, and didnt care that her boyfriend wanted to kill her. Robert Pattison, was ok. He was a very good Edward, clenched jaw, unable to move his limbs, ect. But he slipped up after a while, and he started acting a bit normal. He unchlenched his jaw after a while, and he was pretty appealing.
I ended up actually liking the movie. I felt that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison made a more compelling story than Stephenie Meyer did.
So all in all, i liked the movie. It was better than i expected though it kinda sucked. It was so bad in a way that it was good. I was cracking up through the whole thing! It might have actually been better than the book. Which isnt very hard at all....
