I'm rereading The Alienist which I first read over 20 years ago and didn't remember much about except that I liked it. I'm again finding it to be interesting and exciting and a great read
Hi, Joanne!I really liked The Alienist a LOT. The psychological aspects are fascinating! I hope your 2nd reading is as enjoyable as the 1st (possibly even more so.) Did you know that there's a 2nd Dr. Laszlo novel?
Kyle ~Special K: Rebel Leader~ wrote: "Hi Dustin and Joanne! I loved The Alienist. Caleb Carr creates a riveting psychological masterpiece, and Lazlo is brilliant. What's the name of the 2nd Dr. Lazlo novel, Dustin?"

Marc-Antoine wrote: "Reading The Girl Next Door and finding it very disturbing"I found it very uncomfortable reading. Certainly one of the most powerful books I've ever read. Made me feel guilty for reading it because it's almost like you're watching the events with the narrator.

True. But Atlas Shrugged is much more complex, profound, and the most challenging books I've ever read.
