You are welcome.
Ok. I am caught up in the 50 Shades of Grey rave. Right now I am currently reading Fifty Shades Darker . Had to see what the hoopla is all about. LOL

Heart Shaped Box sounds interesting. I just purchased it for my Nook. Now, back to finding my inner goddess
I've finished reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith this morning. I try to read at least one classic per month so this month I've decided to read The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper.

I'm reading Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde right now, a short story I have to read before my honors english clash starts for my senior year. I don't really like the book, it's pretty boring and written in Old English and the back cover synopsis already spoiled the ending. Eh. Then I have to read Finding Fish for school and then I might read one of King's lighter novels, like The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon!
Immersed in
and still trying to stick with
, although it may be the first book in my history that I have ever given up on :-/ ... I may have to circle back to that book ...

I had to stop reading Fifty Shades Darker. And switched to Where We Belong. It's very, very good so far. And I only read the first 50 pages.
Heart Shaped box is prolly one of my favorite books. He is a great writer just like his dad. Read 50 shades of grey, alot more tame than I thought it would be. May read 50 shades darker, dont know for sure. Not really that interesting to me. Apparently there is gonna be 5 books in that series. Been reading it online. They are calling it "Mommy porn" lol Right now I am reading Under the Dome. It has caught my attention from the start.
The Mommy Porn cracks me up. I am a mommy and 50 Shades does nothing for me. Need a little more spice in a read to get me going. LOL. My Inner Goddess goes and take nap with this book. LOLAnyway, Heart Shaped Box is sitting on my Nook shelf. I will read with the group. It seems very interesting.
I'm still on Wolves of the Calla, working through the Dark Tower Series while reading other stuff, I just started 11/22/63 and I'm just finishing up the end of the Count of Monte Cristo, can't wait to get to Heart Shaped Box next month!
Thomas wrote: "I'm still on Wolves of the Calla, working through the Dark Tower Series while reading other stuff, I just started 11/22/63 and I'm just finishing up the end of the Count of Monte Cristo, can't wait..."Wolves is a really good one I thought.
I'm liking it so far, but I need to finish a couple of these massive sized books before I go to college, because I'm not hauling all of them with me. Luckily the college I'm going to has a great library with a large amount of King novels :)

Yea thought the mommy porn was pretty funny myself. I decided to read it to see what all the uproar was about. I won't lie though, she is a great writer. Just not really my genre to read it all.

And I want to see what happens between Ana and Christian
Christian is certainly the master of mixed signals. I would be just as confused as Ana is. I am like 15-20 pages into the the next book, but decided to finish a couple of other books first. I have been reading the 50 shades online.
I just started on The Dead Zone and love the characters - he hasn't even gone into a coma yet. For Chris (or anyone else who can comment) who posted about a new edition of Danse Macabre: does the new edition include new material updating movies and books since its original release?

I know there is a new intro where King talks about more recent movies and books but I'm not sure there's any updates to the text.
Just finished
Shadow Show: All-New Stories in Celebration of Ray Bradbury and I'm going to pick up Dandelion Wine at the library today.
I just finished and enjoyed Heller with a Gun by Louis L'Amour, my first by him, and it won't be the last :)

Hi, Rachel!
What did you think of Shadow Show?
I thought it was a really solid collection and a very good tribute to Bradbury because it made me want to read other works by Bradbury that I haven't gotten to yet. I'm really enjoying Dandelion Wine right now.
Thanks for the replies! The intro of the reissue of Danse Macabre seems to be new.Rachael - read Dandelion Wine a few years back and loved it! My favorite of his is always going to be Something Wicked, though!

I haven't read Something Wicked yet but I plan to. Reading this right now because an indie bookstore near me chose it for their August book discussion and I was in a Bradbury mood.
Shadowland by Peter Straub. 200 pages in and they finally managed to get to the main setting, so to speak. I know I sound like I'm complaining, but I actually really enjoyed the setup. I'm curious to see how big of an impact it will have on the middle and end of the story.
