Hi, Kathryn!

You could wait to read Wind after you're done with the other DT installments, but personally, I'd suggest that you insert 4.5 into its rightful place.
Obviously, the decision's all yours, I'm not trying to tell you what to do or anything like that..
I hope this helps.:)

Haha, Dustin! See what I mean?! Decisions, decisions...I could wait, read it later, and have it return me temporarily to the DT world. Chris actually said he would let me know as soon as he read it, what he thought. I just don't want it to give anything away about the 5-7 books since it was written after them. It will probably take me some time to read the first four books anyways, and plus, I still need to finish Full Dark, No Stars before I get to the DT books 1-4. I'll be looking for people's comments on it, to see if I should read it as a 4.5 or after 7. We'll see!

message 2403: by Dustin (new)

Dustin All right. Just let me know, as I am interested.
BTW, I don't think it would spoil books V-VII for those that haven't read them. I just can't see King doing that, and since it take place prior to the others, there would be no need to sort of reminisce about events that hadn't taken place yet... if that makes sense..

Based on the book descriptions I've seen so far, most of the the story seems to deal with subject matter that shouldn't spoil anything in V-VII.

Dani, how did you like Seed? I LOVED that book!

I'm busy knocking some out of my TBR that I've had for a while.
Jack and Mr. Grin by Andersen Prunty which I enjoyed. Diary of the displaced which I thought was ok. Now I'm reading one from 1952-Conjure Wife. It's very good so far.

WOW, Jason!! That's quite a case load there!

message 2416: by Aoibhínn (new)

Aoibhínn (aoibhinn) Right now I'm reading Blue Sky Days by Marie Landry. I got it free as one of those read & review things. I'm 5 or 6 chapters into it so far and it's pretty boring. the novel is not very well written and its meant to be a YA romance novel but the main characters who are 19 & 22 talk like their in their 60's! And if that wasn't bad enough, the love story is far too unrealistic, so I'm finding it very hard to connect with the characters. I think this is one novel where I'm definitely going to struggle through it.

I liked it a lot actually but it did leave me with a few unanswered questions :(

message 2418: by Gwen (new)

Gwen I'm currently reading Pet Sematary since I'm working on my Great Stephen King Reread of 2012.

I've also got a conundrum swiftly approaching. Do I read Dark Tower 4.5 when it comes out? Should I wait until I read Dark Tower 4 in about 20 books and read 4.5 then? Do I wait until the very end of the project? It was easier to read 11/22/63 right when it came out since there wasn't the whole "series" issue. I think I was also significantly earlier in my project then.

Decisions, decisions.

Next time I want to take a break from Stephen King I think I'll go back to Refugee by Piers Anthony.

Soon, more will be added to that list. I find ways of balancing it all out.

Considering what to read next from my big pile of books... Hmmmmm horror, fantasy or Sci-fi? I even have a crime-novel although that's not where I normally dwell in my reading....

Storm of Swords is great as well. Actually, the first three books are all fantastic. People seem a bit more divided on books 4 and 5 though.
