I am reading
by Chuck Palahniuk really loved the movie,it gave me my favorite fictional character of all time - Tyler Durden. I have heard it is one of those cases where movie is better than book I hope it is not so & the book turns out to be equally great.
Dustin wrote: "I've heard good things, Aditya. I hope you enjoy it!"It was just okay nowhere close to the movie.
I finished Everything's Eventual this morning. I just love his short stories--I think they are some of his best writing. He really knows how to pack a punch in 50 pages or so.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that..:(

Thanks Dustin! I'm just a few pages into it and already hooked!
You are welcome.:) I've heard positive things. I might just have to check it out, myself. I love it when a book hooks you from the beginning!
Just started At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie. This will be my first Miss Marple and my 4th Agatha Christie.
Costas wrote: "Just started At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie. This will be my first Miss Marple and my 4th Agatha Christie."I had read quite a few Agatha Christie books a long time back & enjoyed most of them(have not read that one though),just wonder how they are going to hold up now since the books are much more pacier these days.
I am gonna start with
by Michael Marshall. I have never read the author before but the synopsis seemed interesting enough.
Chris wrote: "Just started Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury & i am hooked."Amazing, mind-boggling piece of Classic literature there, Chris!:) Enjoy!
Aditya wrote: "I am gonna start with

Mind bogglingly(?) addictive also ... Hope to finish it today.

I'll keep that in mind next time. ROFL
I used to be a part of the group, but it's been quite awhile..
Thank you for invite, but I'm a part of too many groups as it is. Plus I'm not a Koontz fanatic, as you know..

So far so good,I have read one-third of it & his writing style is absolutely engrossing,if this one remains this good at its end you can be sure that I will check Straw Men out. Thanks for the suggestion.
(edit)I just completed Killer Move has to be one of the best thrillers i have ever read..way better than best-selling authors like David Baldacci or Lee Child. It also has a reference to the book you mentioned.
I am going to hold off reading King for a while & check out the Straw Men trilogy asap.
Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon after burning through Fahrenheit 451 yesterday ( pun definitely intended).
one dollar at the clearance rack at my local book store. not what i'm used to reading, but pretty good for a change of pace.

Yay, I'm so very happy for you, Aditya! I really liked Marshall's writing style, as well. Like you said, it's definitely different, and possibly better, than Baldacci or Child (though I do love Child's style, too!)
I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on The Straw Men trilogy! It's been a good 6-7 years since I read them, but they're near and dear to my heart, for sure.:) I'd certainly re-read them someday, and am interested in reading more of his work. Enjoy!!
Michelle wrote: "I'm almost halfway through
and although it started out a bit slow I'm definitely enjoying it now.":) The Talisman's a favorite of mine! I hope you continue to enjoy it more and more.

Just out of curiosity what do you enjoy in Child's style??I do enjoy Baldacci but Lee Child has to be one of those rare authors I simply can not tolerate. His writing is stupid beyond belief,I have only read the first 2 of his books but they were enough to convince me to never come back to them.
I'm reading The Darkest Evening of the Year after finishing a re-read of all 7 Harry Potter Novels in 5 weeks :)
