This crime is close to 30 years old isn't it? The lady involved wants to move on, I think everyone should.

I've moved past this story. Like Jim say, the woman Polanski raped as a 13-year-old girl has moved on, and she wants everyone to do the same. Agreed.

If you ask me what I think of Roman Polanski, I'll tell you he's a brilliant filmmaker, but a scumbag of a person.

Lori What was the Swiss reasoning, anyone know?

While I agree that even the woman moved on, that the court botched his original sentencing, and it's 30 years too late, I'm disheartened that the slime got away with it.

Lori Ah. The US govt couldn't provide it because the judge did do all that. Idiot.

ms.petra (mspetra) also there is some financial fiasco between swiss banks and the US government. I just heard it briefly on the radio today. Something about the Swiss having to release info from private bank accounts that they have never had to do before. So the Swiss were getting even with the US.

Lori Oho! The US should have known to never ask the Swiss about banking details. Stupid.

The victim may want to move on, but it's not up to her. If a crime has been committed or alleged, it's up to prosecutors whether to pursue it.
