Thenia | 30 comments I stumbled upon a book with a German title that had the English title in a parenthesis but the right parenthesis was missing so I wanted to fix that but I realized that I don't know the policy for foreign titles. Do I just close the parenthesis with the English title inside? It's also a book from a series, so do I add the name of the series along with the English title?

Here's the link:

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments It's generally not necessary to add the title in translation to the title field -- there's an original title field at the bottom of the edit page to give the original language title of a book when it's in translation. You can go ahead and remove it from that book. (Probably the book was imported with the double title because a bookseller listed it that way and no one's gotten around to fixing it before now.)

As for series information, if you have the series name and number in the language of the book, that would be great to add!

Thenia | 30 comments Unfortunately I don't have the series name in the language of the book.. :/

Either way, thank you Cait!
