Character Naming

Has anyone noticed anything interesting about the names of some of the characters in your favorite books?

For instance, John Sanford "Prey" novels has a character name Del Capslock. Apparently, John has a little trouble creating names and looked down at his keyboard when naming this character.

I just love stuff like that. I know a couple of others. Anyone know of any?

I often use the phone book or the obit column in the newspaper to find names. In my last book, The Marathon Murders, I used the name of a reader who won a contest to have a character named for him. It was a great name to use for a Tennessee Bureau of Investigations agent--Wayne Fought.
