I know this is a group about BOOKS we hate but whats a club who hates books without hating their creator? Anyways, the author I hate the most is Scott Westerfeld! I did a report on him, and he is officially the lamest author EVER. Ya want to know his favorite past time? Combining his last name and his wifes last name to come up with names like "Westerleister"and "Larbalesterfeld. And thus, he became the most lamest author ever!

I hate Carolyn Reeder for creating such a stupid book as Shades of Gray!

I don't like Scott Westerfeld either. His books are also too much about sex and have terrible language and drone on, but not as much as Twilight.

I read this one book called "Side affects" and it was about this girl who got cancer, but at the begining of the book, the Author says "this is a book about a girl who gets sick, then gets better"

i mean WTF??

Mandie | 71 comments Michael Bauer. We had to read the running man for English class and I hated it. It is the most boring book I have ever read! I gave it 1 star and I would say that it was 'Twilight bad'. It just dragged on and on and on, and as for the story, the front and back covers basically showed the whole story. The silkworm pictures and the poem comprised about half the plot, and if you were to say that the book has good messages and themes, THOSE ARE LISTED ON THE BACK COVER! Also, the description tells basically the whole story. In short, Twilight without the romance and vampires. It still drags on about nothing like twilight and uses big words and descriptions and totally sounds like it was written by an English teacher, which it was.

Mandie | 71 comments Sorry for my rant, I just really hate that book. At least with Twilight we didn't have to do a speech about a theme and symbols etc, where you have to say how wonderful it is and pretend you like it. I wouldn't mind doing an assignment on Twilight if we could do an essay or speech or debate on our opinion of it or the bad messages in it. That would be fun.

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments That sounds awful, Mandie.

I had to read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. It's a meh kinda book. My brother read it last year and he HATED it, and my sister just read it and she loved it. I think that the ending was extremely anti-climatic and simply bad. I think the author really tried to make an indepth, interpersonal novel, and make it morbid too. (something like The Book Theif by Markus Zusak) But she failed.

Izzy of Unapologetic Reviews (zelda_of_arel) Anyone read "The English Patient"? I had to read it for a class and I fell asleep with my eyes open. I read about 100 pages, but I have no clue what was on them! So for me, that book is equally bad to Twilight. I also tried to watch that movie 3 times, but I fell asleep on that too! Apparently, I've found a cure in case I'd develop insomnia.

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments That sounds awful......... a friend of mine fellasleep reading the Outsiders, but you can't say much about her. She mostly reads stupid Mary-Sue-Y romances that have something happening all the time.
