Did you expect the ending to be like it was?

When you read the book, did you think it was going to end the way it did?
I didn't... although i knew something was up when there wasnt any diologe during the 'now' part of the book when there was in the 'then' part.

I noticed the dialogue difference as well but i did not pick up on how the book would end.

Cant wait to read the next book, tough id prefer there to be an audiobook.

I noticed the dialogue difference, and did suspect that something weird was up (esp. with the room downstairs that Jesse recognized, but didn't think he had ever been in) but hadn't figured out what it was yet.

Ditto what others posted. I'd thought one possibility might be Jesse's friends, particularly Dave, were slowly turning into chasers and was surprised by the actual outcome.

On a different note: I found the poor editing distracting.

No! I was shocked the whole time I thought they were their and some parts he waslosing his mind instead of them.

I actually went back to reread the last chapter to make sure I understood it correctly. LOL
