Hahaha I was going to do "I'll be in the drawing room, painting the stupid looks on your faces" but it was too long :( so I did "Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders"
Lauren (Firestorm) wrote: "Wow you guys are really into those harry potter things"they're good books. maybe some day you'll be able to read them. It's not like there's anything bad in them - they're written for children...

LAME. How many times can you renew?

I can renew books 5 times and each time it's longer than a week :) (unless the book is on hold, of course)
I get emails when my stuff's due and I can renew online. I have my library card number memorized so I can just type it in at libraries instead of having to actually find it :)
I have my card number memorized too but that's only useful when I'm on the website to check my account... any other time I have to scan it.

That sounds like some sort of reading program.
I remember I did one about a year ago...it was the last time I could do it before I got too old and became disqualified. Stupid age limits.
Anywho, it was this thing where you kept track of how many books you read within 2 months. The goal for the whole things was 8 books.
I finished within the third week. Upon achieving this feat, I went down to my library and got my rewards.
They were yellow rubber duckies. They were not HUGE. They were not CUTE. They were not GLOW IN THE DARK.
They were UGLY.
And so I commanded my mother to drive me to the rich people library where they had acceptable prizes, such as gift cards and candy. >:)

My library has an adult one, a teenager one, and a kids one. There used to only be a kids' one but it expanded. Kids you get a prize for every two hours read. The goal is to reach eight hours. Each half hour is initialed by a parent of guardian. There's also a weekly raffle (which has some pretty awesome prizes). Everything is based around a theme. Kids' prizes are stuff like from Oriental Trading Company and coupons from local restaurants for kids meals.
I'm not sure about the adult one, but for the teen one you read four books and one that's related to the theme. You get entered in a raffle for each book you finish and you get a prize if you finish the entire thing. (Free burrito at Chipotle=AWESOME).
^^Can anyone tell I was a volunteer at the library? xP

LUCKY!! my library system is poor (in money, I mean. the libraries themselves are great, especially the main one. I went busking with some friends and got $100 for the library and we were on tv for a few seconds) and the prizes were... for the teen stuff, I got a black lanyard that could have been worth 50 cents and a 35 megabyte flash drive. the last prize was a book but the books were all lame and my dad was mad at me and saying we had to go right THEN because he didn't want to wait for me to look through the books so I just left. :(
I was going to volunteer at the library and then I got into (insert orchestra) and I'm always falling behind in school so I decided I didn't really have time...
my library system I guess is too big and there are too many other homeschoolers for me to win anythng :p
I bought my laptop with money from my job I used to have. My parents don't care what age or anything if I'm going to buy stuff myself.
Lauren (Firestorm) wrote: "O.O I have to wait until my 13th bday to get my own laptop :("I got mine for my 8th grade graduation, so I was... 14?
I needed mine... I use it for school and photography. My family's computer is so bad that I seriously stopped working on photography as much because it was such a pain to empty off my memory card and look at my photos.
I really needed one after I started using my mom's laptop more than she did to work on essays and projects
Lauren (Firestorm) wrote: "WOW. Laura YOU NEED a laptop so you can go on here more often!!"
I share one with my brother...so it's sort of mine, but not really.

I went and looked at the group and was like "OMG WHY ARE THERE 82 NEW ON MY TOPIC" and now I know. :)
Oh, and also, I'm HORRIBLE at updating this topic, but I occasionally upload stuff on my deviantART. My sister just got a tablet and I use it too, so lots of digital stuff coming soon when I have time to draw. D:http://nightshade5509.deviantart.com
...if anyone cares. :P
Thanks! :DLauren - It's not a picture; it's a link to my deviantART account.
Silver - Yay, thanks! My tablet writing is kinda messy o_O And I loved drawing the mini-Toph. Something about it was just so cute... idk XD
I'm attempting to put up a random tablet sketch I did a couple days ago, but the Internet on the other computer (the one it's saved on) is being stupid, so no new stuff for you. Yet. Same with my writing. :(
