WHY! WHY HIM?!?!?!?!

While hanging out on facebook, one of my friends was talking about how Eclipse was better than the other movies (she said it still wasn't good anyway) and she was talking about horrible the music score was.
This is the part that saddens me:
The score was from Howard Shore.
If you don't know who Howard Shore is, he did the score for Lord of the Rings, probably some of the most beautiful music EVER. In the history of film.
And then he goes and gets hired for Twilight, the bane of existance.
But my friend said the music was terrible, so I decided that maybe he just didn't give a crap and decided to make it horrible to go along with all the other horrible things about the movie.
But still. That saddens me.

Why would Howard Shore even bother to make an awesome soundtrack for a movie like Eclipse? It's just a waste of his talent. lol.

If I was him I would have done it too.

I'm not saying that all I'm after is money. But it is my job (if I was him) to make a piece. My job brings food on the table. My job makes sure I have a roof over my head. My job makes sure my kids have good education. My job makes sure that I buy things that could please my wife.

I understand why the actors have accepted the role even though they hate it.

It's easy to say that Twilight is a bad movie.

But put it this way.

If I hate books, but I was given a job as a librarian and no other jobs would accept me. Of course I'd swallow my pride and take it... or else I have no food to swallow at all.

Yeah, RPattz hates Edward, but he still keeps his role. He gets paid ridikulus amounts of money. He even risks his own life by keeping the role. (Taxi incident, anyone?)
