Georgette Heyer is great, Lobstergirl, despite not writing erotica set in Regency England. She's like Austen, but more prolific and less celebrated.

I read Friday's Child and pretty much hated it. Historical romances are not my favorite genre, however I can read Victoria Holt with some moderate enjoyment.
