Kate | 8205 comments I wouldn't say in every way. I think that there is a time and place for both, but one isn't necessarily better than the other.

I LOVE lasagna!!!!!!!!!!! A little while ago, I had an 'Ultimate Grilled Cheese sandwich' from the Bittersweet cafe in old town alexandria. It was pretty god. Just really cheesy, and the bacon on it was crunchy and soooo delicious.

How dare you say bacon is gross, Frank! It's soooo delicious, especially if it's crunchy. I now want bacon. But I go to this camp in the summer for a week and their bacon is gross. So I guess it really depends on who makes it and how they do it.

message 3463: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Bacon is a tricky food to get right...

It's okay, everyone doesn't have everything. I never ate McDonald's until I was twelve and found it not what I like (sorry fast food lovers but I can not stand greasy food) .

That's fine, but I don't like McDonald's that much anymore. I like Burger King and Checkers better. They're not as greasy as McDonald's.

Nice. Maybe I will too. I have a knack for getting some virus on the computer. Now I can only get on our Macintosh.

We still have a working 1998 desktop, that is so incredibly slow I can do all my chores and it will barely be ready to boot.

We used to have dial up years ago, and it was soooo slow. You see, we used to have 15 minute turns on the computer (thankfully we don't do that now) and it took 5 minutes (sometimes) to just load a website. I was that slow. It got so annoying. But finally we got a faster computer (YES).

message 3479: by Frank (new)

Frank As a computer nerd, I know how slow dial up can be, and I feel sorry for anyone who still uses it in their homes. Dial up is actually good for people who travel or have multiple houses, but for the most part no one uses it anymore.

I'll list them:
1. The Heroes of Olympus (3 more coming out)
2. The Kane Chronicles (1 more coming out)
3. Witch and Wizard (all out, but I have to read the last one)
4. Falcon Quinn (I think there's going to be another one, because the last one ended like there was going to be another book)
5. Last Dragon Chronicles (1 more coming out)
6. The RIley Bloom seres (I think just more is coming out, but I'm not completely sure)
7. The Sisters Grimm (1 more coming out)
8. Dormia (1 more book coming or as come out (I'm not sure, I can't find a release date))
9. Seven Sorcerers
10. Septimus Heap (1 more coming out)
11. Emily Windsnap (I think there's just one more coming out, because I thought the series ended, but I just heard recently that there's going to be another book)
12. Erec Rex (not sure how many there will be and I still have to read all the books that are out)
13. The Wedding Planner's Daughter (Not sure if they're making anymore and I still have to read all the ones that are out)
14. My Fair Godmother (not sure how many there are going to be)
15. The 39 Clues (I'm starting this one today)

Oops, I thought you meant a series with 15 books. It's okay though, and some of them sound good (in which I will be taking a look at).

I'm just waiting for the third/last one to come out, so I can cross off one of those serieses.

message 3495: by Frank (new)

Frank I don't know why, but I can't stand being in the middle of so many series. I usually finish one at a time as long as all the books are written.

Briana (brianals) | 15203 comments Mod
I would never be able to do that!

message 3497: by Irene (new)

Irene (wingdesilverii) Me neither! I would not get anything read (I am the sort of person who can be reading multiple books at once though, like one for school, one for my enjoyment x and one for my book club and keep them all straight) .

message 3498: by Kam (last edited Feb 18, 2012 08:19PM) (new)

Kam (iamwhowhoareyou) | 924 comments what usually happens is that I read a book, then realize it's the first in a series. then, i read the whole series, before realizing the series is not complete yet. So, i wait for the next book, but before i read it, i reread the whole rest of the series first.

Because of this tendency of mine, i have literally reread most books at least 3 to 4 times. i still haven't read The power of Six yet, because i got sidetracked halfway through i am number four. so.

message 3499: by Briana (new)

Briana (brianals) | 15203 comments Mod
Well then to me the books get old unless they are a really good series. And what if you finish reading the books that are out right when the next book comes out, so do you keep reading the books over for a year?? And I think that I'm good with keeping books straight and with all the fanfictions I'm reading then I think I'm good with keeping all those straight too, because lots of them are about the same thing or are very similar.

message 3500: by Kam (new)

Kam (iamwhowhoareyou) | 924 comments my rule is that if the next book comes out, i've had to have read less than 3 books not of that series in the middle.

Like, when mockingjay came out, i had just reread hunger games and catching fire, but i had also read Evermore and Vampire Academyin the middle. but it was only two books, so i just read mockingjay anyway.
