I watched the end of it. My dad put it on but my mom, sisters, and I all went upstairs to do more interesting things. And my dad didn't really want any team to win, but he likes the giants better, so we were rooting for them. And they won!

I have been, what the equvalent of being grounded is, twice in my entire life. I don't fight with my parents though, if I do it is something big that I will risk all my freedoms for.

Irene & Whitney- This was the first time I've been grounded in a while. I'm normally a good child. Of course, most people who know why I was grounded generally feel like my mom overreacted, so.....

I've never actually been grounded. That's not to say I haven't been punished (although thankfully not for a while), but grounding just wasn't my parents' way of doing things.

I haven't really been grounded before either, but as Kate said, I have been punished multiple times before.

Kate- yeah, actually, same with me. Although, I've had TV taken away before, but that was when I was younger and didn't socialize most of the time online. And taking TV away was more punishment for random stuff (I don't remember what all I did) this was my first 'real' grounding.

I was usually just sent to my room when I was little. Of course, that didn't have that much effect since my room has a LOT of books and such in it and always has.

I know, me too! My parents sent me to my room to, but I had so many things to do in there I was fine with it.

Mom and dad don't call it grounding but that's basically what it is expect a little more severe.

The most 'effective' punishment I had when I was younger was timeout. We had to sit in front of the door and do nothing but think for at least 15 minutes. To entertain myself I would trace the pattern carved in the door if there was one.

Another thing I never had...timeouts. Being sent to my room should have been the same thing but it wasn't. Except for the times when I was furious about whatever it was and just sat there doing nothing.

I'm not really sure, Frank. Sometimes GR is odd, and others it just makes more sense to scroll through the group looking at topics- which is what I tend to do if I have the time rather than look at a few specific topics.
