Me neither. And I just met someone who's on the verge of suiciding. I think it's safe to say I could feel her.

You okay, mate? Being suicidal is a serious thing; if you or someone you know is feeling that way you should get help, or talk to someone.

Sorry, I didn't see your reply! In English theory they call 8th notes something else, so I was confused at your first message.
An 8th note is half the length of a quarter note. Two 8th notes = one quarter note, etc.
If they're beamed that's just to do with their grouping; so you gotta play every note unless they're tied and both on the same note, like this: https://musictheory4u.com/images/MT4u...
The tie's the curved line, and if the notes are both the same like in the picture, you only play it once but hold for as long as the note values. Does that make sense?
