Kyle- In America (at least the majority, in case some places are different for whatever reason), our school year goes from (basically) August/September--May/June

There are some things that are the same wherever you are, and there are some that are extremely different. It's interesting.

It was originally based on the harvest times. In the US, we would get off during the summer so that we could tend to crops, which I bet is how it was in Australia too. It's just that summer and winter are switched.

Luckyyyyyy....I still have schoo tomorrow. But it's a half day, and I only have to go to three classes , which are 25 minutes long, because we have a holiday music assembly, and since I'm in orchestra I get to miss half of my classes. But then I only have a week and a day of break. I don't approve.

That's why I like having two semesters, so they can't really give us anything over Christmas break. (Although every other break is loaded with work)

actually, in my ILA class, we have to do a freewrite every semester. she doesn't care what type of writing we do, but we have to turn in a well-made final copy at the end of the semester. last semester, i barely finished in time, so im getting a head start this time.

I'm just hoping for a couple cool things. I got my bible early (like a month)-- I had been wanting a new one for a while, but I hadn't been able to look at some at all cause I was never out with my mom when she went. But I'm looking forward to opening my best friend's gift for me. I got it in the mail yesterday, but she asked me not to open it 'til Christmas.
