Thanks everyone for your congratualitionabiggle. And yes, weddings are quite happy-making.
Son of Neptune... That's Rick Riordan, right? I still need to read his books.
Way- Yeah, SoN (haha, Son of Neptune if abreviated SoN. lolz) is by Rick Riordan. Xd And you really do need to read his books.Kate- The library near me got 5 copies and had them within the week of release (Friday i think it was) and my brother had put a hold on it. And for books like that, we pass them around- whoever put the hold on gets it first, then him or me depending on the situation, and then MAYBE to my little sister.
Rae- Yeah, it was pretty good.Taylor- It always scares me a bit, but it's pretty awesome.
Way- Congrats to him!
Way - Congrats to your brother :)I really want to read SoN. My school's library hasn't gotten it in yet, though. I guess I'll have to put in a request next time I'm there.

Our library system has a lot of copies, but there are a lot of people with it who put it on hold.
You really should Way.
Band is over :..( But we ended strongly!!! Seniors cried... Jazz band season is here!!!!! Being in 8th grade I'm super excited 2 b in high school jazz band. i will b the 1st jr high 2 ever b in hs jazz band! Super excited! I also get 2 b in jr jazz band w hich is also a lot of fun. sry if i keep talkin bout band. u guys r probably really annoyed so i'll stop now...
Kate- yeah, that does put a bit of a damper on things.Whitney- Not at all! I think it's great! (I'm just a TINY bit annoyed with the chatspeak bits in that post- cause that's one of my pet peeves if you aren't in a chat room or texting)
Whitney- It's no problem really, I've just gotten into a few conversations with people where they have the room to spell everything out and the ability to use correct grammar and such- yet they talk lik thiss all ze tim nd it getss like realy anoying after what seems like ages- and I just get some headaches from it because I've been looking at it for so long after reading grammatically correct things. So I't really nothing personal, just a big pet peeve I have developed.
Yeah, I know how you can get into the habit- and if you do continue to do it, since you don't ALWAYS do it, I won't care as much, but I appreciate the thought.
I understand that it's hard not to, Whitney, but I'm with Rae.I find it really hard to read chatspeak. It doesn't take as long to write when you use letters and numbers, but for me it takes so much more time and effort to read.
...I didn't realize everyone else was thinking it! *blushes*Hey Nat, why do you always get on when I'm getting off? #stupidtimezones #its645inCali
I know, Rae, it sucks. I just had dinner......and now I'm getting in the shower. I'm not gonna come back on here tonight, but I might be on Twitter.
Way! You too? Okay, we need to have a twitter get-together sometime! YOu, me, Taylor, and Nat- and any other members who are tweeters.Whitney- It's pretty cool. I've been using it a lot more than my facebook for the past two weeks.
Rebekah Faith*StarGleek*Potterhead* wrote: "Hah, nope! You're not alone! *cough* random starkid reference *cough*What's your handle?"
I was so tempted to do the Not Alone thing, Rae! I'll message you my handle. :)
I dunno how to explain it really- you just don't have all the friends you only friended to have more friends- you follow who you want to and then if you don't wanna follow that particular person anymore, you unfollow them and no one really cares.
I like it cuz hardly anyone I know personally uses it. It means I can say what I want without a crap ton of questions.
My dad won't let me have either but if I do have 1 I will defiantly have fb because that's what my friends have.
Taylor- yeah, that too. I've got 1 RL friend who uses it, and I don't care if he seeing things I post- cause he's one of my best friends.
Same! The people I actually know who follow me know me from theatre, where I act the most like myself. Oddly. :P So they don't really care what I say as much as people would if I posted something on Facebook.
Yeah, I totally get that. I act more like myself on here, on the TSK page, and with some of my best friends than I do in the public eye. There's a reason I created a page on FB to use to comment on the TSK page.
I get that. I definitely am more free here, or on Twitter, or on forums than I am on FB or with people I know quite well.
Yeah, like with my best friends I don't care what they see since they already know I'm kinda out there and I have my obsessions, but even with my closest school friends I'm not completely myself. I hold back a little. But even though I've not known all y'all for really all that long (like 2.5 years for the longest) I really feel freer. And especially with the Starkids on the TSK FB page- I started posting there regularly in August and some of my close friends are from the page.
I used to hold back sometimes from my friends, but I semi-recently decided that I might as well be my very nerdy, crazy, self, because I don't really want to be friends with people who don't like that side of me.
Yeah, I get that, Anna. And i mean, I only hold back a little bit of my craziness since most of my school friends are more...off their rockers than I am.

I guess with me, it's a bit complicated. The people I consider friends are really more acquaintances excepting about two of them, and even those two I don't want getting disturbed by certain aspects of my weirdness.
I'm stuck in what one of my friends and I call "high school politics". Our honors program is so small that if you are on bad terms with someone, you're stuck seeing them pretty much every day. Or they're a friend of a friend, so you're still stuck hearing about them. There are so many people whose personalities I just do not like. But in order to remain in a good standing in the honors program, you kind of have to be friends with everyone. And there are certain "circles", but I tend to be a part of all of them somehow because it leaves me least likely to be a part of drama. And I am everything I'm expected to be in those circles: the nerdy, slight loner who can be kind of funny but generally follows the rules.
My "theatre family" knows me better than anyone. The people who knew me before theatre but then got to see me in theatre were surprised when they saw Theatre Me. Theatre allows me to be my goofy, nerdy, crazy, yet introspective self all at once. It's wonderful.

Sure there are people who look at me strangely. But there are also plenty of people who don't (AKA my friends) and even the ones who look at me strangely don't think I'm so weird that they can't ask me a question about schoolwork or something. And you should see some of our facebook conversations. They are definitely *not* edited to avoid strangeness.

I'm still waiting for the Son of Neptune to come in at the library for me. It might take a while.
