Kate | 8205 comments Nat-He is? No wonder my friends are going. One of them is MUCH more of a Darren Criss fan than a Starkid fan. I didn't know she even knew what Starkid was....

message 2602: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Me too, Rae, me too :)

Kate, he is. Oh... Yup, that's probably why then! She will probably feel out of place... but congrats to her for getting tixs. I wonder how fast they sold out.... I think the Cincinnati ones are still available, I hope you're able to go, Rae! (just as long as you twll us everythign!)

message 2603: by asiyah (last edited Oct 07, 2011 04:57PM) (new)

asiyah MY SISTER IS BUTTHEAD AND WENT ON MY TUMBLR AND SHE ASKED ME WHAT STARKID WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously couldn't believe that she didn't know what it was! Anyway, that was random fact of the day. :)

message 2604: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments No West Coast shows?! What's up with that?! LAME.

message 2605: by asiyah (new)

asiyah I KNOW!

But I get that they're too poor. I WOULD GIVE THEM THE MONEY TO GET THEM HERE IF I COULD!

message 2606: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments SAME HERE.

message 2607: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments @ Nat-I'm sure there's more to it than just her Glee obsession. I know that at least one of them has seen AVPM/S, but I wouldn't have called her a starkid. That being said, she's not a huge Glee fan, so why else would she be going?

message 2608: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Kate wrote: "Nat-He is? No wonder my friends are going. One of them is MUCH more of a Darren Criss fan than a Starkid fan. I didn't know she even knew what Starkid was...."

Yeah, the shows that Darren's gonna be at are gonna be overrun with Darren fans who don't care about TSK at all. At least, that's what the TSK FB page regulars and I deduced yesterday.....

Taylor- yeah, it's all on the East Coast.

Nat- yeah, me too. XD And OF COURSE! Why wouldn't i tell ya'll everything? (If they told us to not spill. XD)

message 2609: by Mayze (new)

Mayze Wow...I am just missing two of their tour dates on vacation... *facepalm*

message 2610: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Wait, so you COULD possibly go to one of them? #slightlyconfused

message 2611: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Aww...poor Anna.

And congratulations Rae.

message 2612: by Rebekah Faith (last edited Oct 11, 2011 12:38PM) (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Thank, Kate. I haven't gotten tickets YET, but it's looking like I can go so if there's still some left on Friday, I'll probably get one.

And I won. XD #justsayin

message 2613: by asiyah (new)

asiyah Blah! But, yeah, congrats Rae, on everything.

message 2614: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments That's actually what my congratulations were about. Not to be confusing or anything. But I hope you get to go.

message 2615: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments I totally hope Rae get's to go.

Scalpers are selling VIP tickets with DC there for FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. Is that insane or what?

Congrats Rae :)

Evanna said on Twitter that she was going to have a cake sell trying to get money for TSK to come here, but I doubt she will...

Rae, you have a Twitter, #dontyou? x)

message 2616: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Kate- I was pretty sure that's what you were congratulating me for, but YA NEVER KNOW! XD

Asiyah- Hahha, thanks!

Nat- I hope I do too!
Yeah, they swooped in immediately after tickets went up, bought them and now the prices they're re-selling them for is ridiculous.
Thanks!
Hahah, I DO. XD (My handle is @RebekahStarkid in case any of you have twitters and wanna follow me.) Yeah, of course, doing a West Coast tour is a LOT cheaper than going to Europe and doing one. (You'd be surprised how many European starkids there are)

message 2617: by Mayze (new)

Mayze Rebekah Faith*StarGleek*Potterhead* wrote: "Wait, so you COULD possibly go to one of them? #slightlyconfused"

Because my boarding school is kind of far from where I live, the day I come back from break they go from where my school is near to near where I live. AND I AM UPSETTTTT

message 2618: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments OH! Now I understand. (I'm naturally blonde- even if my hair has turned brown. XD) I'm sorry! That stinks!

message 2619: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments If your hair turned brown, wouldn't that make it naturally brown now?

message 2620: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I've got blonde roots. XD Don't overthink it! hahah

message 2621: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments I won't. I've got a friend with hair like that. I think it's really cool, actually. Mine is just boring.

message 2622: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahhah, yeah mine used to be really blonde, now it's a light brown with natural blonde and some red highlights. All of it is completely natural. I've never done anything to my hair except for get it cut.

message 2623: by Mayze (new)

Mayze Kate wrote: "I won't. I've got a friend with hair like that. I think it's really cool, actually. Mine is just boring."

...would that friend be me?

My hair started turning darker and it was just really blah, even though it still had a bunch of natural highlights... You couldn't really see them any more because they were drowned out by the general blah-ness of my hair changing color. So my mom decided I ought to get highlights. :P

I WIN I WIN I WIN I WIN I WIN I WIN ^O^

message 2626: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Nope.

message 2627: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Sorry to burst your bubble there, Emily.

Taylor- Hahah, There are times that I think my hair looks horrible and I wanna dye it, but then there are also the days when I like how my hair looks.

message 2628: by Whitney :) (new)

Whitney :) (wvn1998) | 1808 comments My last band competition is next weekend. I'm super sad... Y is the band season so short? Can't it be just a few weeks longer. 8 weeks isn't enough in my opinion. But it does fill up your weekends! Every weekend from the 2nd weekend in september to the first weekend in november! Fri- Play at the football game, get home around 10. Sat- Wake up at 5:30 and get home around 2 a.m. 20 hours!!!! It's like a huge sleepover!!! On a bus!!!! Fun times!!!!

message 2629: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Have fun Whitney!

My hair was darkened up a bit-temporairily.*

*spelled wrong x)

message 2630: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 246 comments since we're talking about hair...um...I don't have blonde hair (just boring brown), but I used to have a mix of blonde and red in it. It also used to be super straight. sadly, as I get older, it becomes slightly wavier and browner.

I don't know how you do it Whitney...I would probably die

message 2631: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Nat- temporarily. XD You were close
Whitney- HAVE FUN! That's sad that it's almost over, but have a good time.

Giulia- Yeah, we get off onto tangents sometimes. lolz. And in this topic it doesn't matter all that much. But I'm so glad my hair's always been pretty much pin-straight. It's a LOT easier to deal with than if it hadn't been.

message 2632: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 246 comments yeah, i'm always glad that my hair isn't one of those crazy, frizzy, wild types.

message 2633: by Mayze (new)

Mayze I wish that my hair was less frizzy...

message 2634: by Whitney :) (new)

Whitney :) (wvn1998) | 1808 comments Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!! We had an excelent performance yesterday and I believe that we will do excelent next weekend at our last performance

message 2635: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments No problem. It's one of the things about this group and GR in general that I love- we're all so supportive of each other! It's like the Starkid Fandom!

message 2636: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Indeed!

So I spent most of yesterday at Occupy Phoenix... Anybody else been a part of their local Occupy movements?

message 2637: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 246 comments sorry if this is a stupid question, but what's an occupy movement?

message 2638: by Mayze (new)

Mayze They're offbranches of the occupy wall street movement. Essentially they're protesting corporate greed. I was *supposed* to go to one this past weekend, but something came up, so I'm hoping to go in two weeks.

message 2639: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Anna, you won!

Anyways...huh, I didn't know what it was either, Giulia. That's kinda cool. I don't think any have been held in my area.

message 2640: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 246 comments *scrunches forehead* okay, but what's the occupy wall street movement?

message 2641: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Really it's just a bunch of people who are angry about the fact that only 1% of the nation holds most of the wealth and controls business. The protestors keep chanting "We are the 99%", meaning they are the ones who have no control and are tired of it.

A lot of the people who were at Occupy Phoenix didn't really have one set grievance. People are just angry at the government, and they're using Occupy Wall Street as a forum to air their grievances. Once they come together with a joint cause (if they ever do), this could be a legitimate revolution. A lot of the people I heard speaking on Saturday were talking about revolution and rebellion, and these are the kind of people who would make it happen.

I was joking around about that chant, though... When we marched around the block, everyone was chanting "We [beat] are [beat] the 99%!" I looked at my friend, and to the time with the chant, I said, "We [beat] need [beat] something new to chant!" It got old real fast.

message 2642: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments It sounds like it would be cool to be in one of them.

message 2643: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments So this is weird. Considering we were talking about this in history today.... I'm a bit spooked, to tell the truth.

Also, has anyone read The Son of Neptune yet? I enjoyed it more than the first, I think because Percy was in it.

message 2644: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Kate wrote: "It sounds like it would be cool to be in one of them."

I am SO SO SO glad I took part. It was a really neat thing to see. I got to talk to a lot of people who I shared views with, who I wouldn't've been able to talk to otherwise. I learned a lot about the problems people are seeing with government. And from a sociological perspective? It was the most fascinating thing ever.

Natalie wrote: "So this is weird. Considering we were talking about this in history today.... I'm a bit spooked, to tell the truth."

Haha stuff like that happens to me all the time! We'd talk about something in one of my classes and next day or later that day I'd see it someplace else. It's cool though.

message 2645: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I'm glad you enjoyed it, Taylor. It really does sound like an awesome time.

(Sorry I was gone for so long. My brother got married and we had family from Norway staying with us.)

message 2646: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 246 comments ooohhh...I get it, sorry for being thick. Thanks for explaining it to me, Taylor =)

I haven't heard of the son of neptune.

Way-chan: congrats to your brother

message 2647: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Thanks!

message 2648: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 246 comments i don't know why, but weddings always make me happy

message 2649: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Giulia, you're welcome! And weddings usually make me happy too! Like cute couples do. :)

message 2650: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Way- Aww! Cograts to him! And that's pretty cool!

Nat- I have! It was AMAZING. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit, but I liked it a lot.
