I hate dissections with a passion. Never again. I'd sooner eat worms and insects. No joke. :P

I've never actually dissected anything, though I've not had my college lab credit yet

My mom ends up doing all the actual dissecting. I just sometimes use my probe and draw whatever the book tells me to

I always tried to have lab partners who enjoyed that stuff so I could just probe and record data. Had to do the worm and crawdad solo, though.

I don't know that I've ever done a dissection...

I'm not surprised. Unpleasant factor aside, it helps to interact with what you're learning about. Although now that I think of it... I remember being in a school lab with the smell of formaldehyde.

I really did enjoy biology. But I don't like killing animals for the sake of "interaction with what I'm learning about."

Right, I'm the same way.

Animals should be killed for food and when human safety is at risk. Not for science, sport or otherwise. In my opinion.

I like that. Unless that science is truly with great benefit and not inflicting suffering.

Yeah. Luckily I don't believe biology animals for dissection suffer much. But it's still unpleasant.
