message 25563: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 3428 comments I wish I could stay in bed all day at least once this week. growing up is over rated

message 25564: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Certain terrible things are going to happen when I grow up so I'd rather just not.

But you still need to eat. So go

message 25566: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Yeah I did. Bowl of cereal and a smoothie. Considering my size-0 skinny jeans are a bit loose, I really should eat more. :P

Totally

message 25581: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments I hate dissections with a passion. Never again. I'd sooner eat worms and insects. No joke. :P

message 25582: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 3428 comments I've never actually dissected anything, though I've not had my college lab credit yet

My mom ends up doing all the actual dissecting. I just sometimes use my probe and draw whatever the book tells me to

message 25585: by Abby Elizabeth (last edited Feb 08, 2016 09:30PM) (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments I always tried to have lab partners who enjoyed that stuff so I could just probe and record data. Had to do the worm and crawdad solo, though.

message 25586: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments I don't know that I've ever done a dissection...

message 25587: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Apparently they're required now. >.<

message 25588: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments I'm not surprised. Unpleasant factor aside, it helps to interact with what you're learning about. Although now that I think of it... I remember being in a school lab with the smell of formaldehyde.

message 25589: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments I really did enjoy biology. But I don't like killing animals for the sake of "interaction with what I'm learning about."

message 25590: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments Right, I'm the same way.

message 25591: by Abby Elizabeth (last edited Feb 08, 2016 09:53PM) (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Animals should be killed for food and when human safety is at risk. Not for science, sport or otherwise. In my opinion.

message 25592: by Zechariah (new)

Zechariah (zechbarrett) | 2992 comments I like that. Unless that science is truly with great benefit and not inflicting suffering.

message 25593: by Abby Elizabeth (new)

Abby Elizabeth | 4157 comments Yeah. Luckily I don't believe biology animals for dissection suffer much. But it's still unpleasant.
