*sigh* Elevetha won...

I guess I'll just have to give you that suuper long post later. Even though I said I was going to post it yesterday. Woops. And the reason i wasn't really on last week was because I was on vacation. In the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania. Our annual vacation.

Elevetha | 11058 comments Have fun?

Yeep. I was going to sleep on the drive home (it took almost 6 hours this time. That's actually kind of fastish for us), but then I just ended up reading most of the time. And me and two of the sisters (we took two cars and Paige was in the other one) were listening to and singing the HSM and HSM3 albums. We listened to the HSM2 album on the way to the Poconos.

message 9714: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments Forgive me, but what is HSM?

I usually just sleep and listen to music on car rides. I get sleepy in the car and reading for too long makes me nauseous(a bookworm's curse).

Briana (brianals) | 15203 comments Mod
High School Musical. Don't you dare tell me you've never seen it. And when we were listening to this one song from HSM2 I just started cracking up because I didn't remember this certain part was in it. I was crying.

Yeah. Wait a minute. Hold up. You get nauseous if you read too long in the car???? Am I the only one that doesn't??

message 9716: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments Ummmmm, I've never seen it. Or the sequels.

No, you're not. My sisters can go forever reading in the car, unless they fall asleep, but you get my point.

WATCH NOW! *shakes head* I thought you had watched them before.

Yeep.

message 9718: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments I've lived this long without watching them....

I love long car trips <3 :) But car-sickness is the worst thing. >.< We went on a road trip once, and I must have thrown up every time we set off - I don't even think I was reading! And then sometimes I randomly don't get sick at all . . . it's weird. I usually listen to music.

message 9723: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments Sometimes our similarities are creepy. The only thing is, I've never thrown up. I just feel like I will.

message 9724: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments I don't get sick on car trips. I just don't. Car trips are an excellent way to catch up on reading, though recently my mum's made the rule that I'm not allowed to if the trip's less than half an hour. But in every other car...

Lucky you. Though I must say, once you've thrown up you're usually good for the rest of the trip. Feeling like you're going to be sick every minute of the way is exhausting.

message 9726: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Yes, it would be *shudders* I may not get motion-sickness, but I had gastro for a week and it was not fun.

Yeah, if I start to feel sick, I just stop reading for 5-10 minutes and then start again. Unless it's really hot. Then I'm out for the count.

@Leyah. Lucky.

I don't get carsick either. Never have. Or does it count that one time I went to Skyline Drive with Paige and my dad and went to some restaurant, went to sleep on the way home for a while, and when I woke up I threw up. I think it was just something I ate.

Elevetha | 11058 comments Soooo. Guess who starts Driver's Ed next this(NO NO NO NO WHY IS IT AUGUST???!!!) month???

This girl.

message 9737: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Yay! *claps back* Us Southerners don't get our driver's licence til we're 18

message 9738: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments What? That's absurd. Here, you have to be 16 for your license, I think, but you can start the classes and get your learner's permit at 15.

message 9739: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments I think we can do that at either 16 or 17. And I think the reason why is because there's too many teenage crashes. We're not considered responsible enough.

message 9740: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments I guess...But isn't there just as many "adult" crashes?

message 9741: by Briana (new)

Briana (brianals) | 15203 comments Mod
Ikr.

message 9742: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Nope. Well, yes. But a major 25% of crashes are caused by unlicensed teens

message 9743: by Elevetha (last edited Aug 01, 2013 02:02PM) (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments "Unlicensed teens"?? So wouldn't giving them their licenses and teaching them how to drive help to prevent that a bit?

message 9744: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Yeah, I know :( It's like drugs, really.

message 9746: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments They think maybe drugs shouldn't be illegal. Because there are so many people who still get them, through smuggling and stuffs.

Elevetha | 11058 comments I think that's kinda stupid. That's just making it easier, which won't help anything. There's a difference between making drugs easier to obtain and teaching kids how to drive properly, to me.
