Elevetha | 11058 comments I don't have much technology that is mine. No Ipad, Ipod, laptop, computer, phone, internet, etc, etc, infinity. I bought my own CD player and then upgraded to a MP3 player when I got older. So I have basically nothing next to you guys so I was joking about the lifetime handicapped parking tag. Though I do have one. 'Tis useful.

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Hehe! I used to have an iPod, but it got lost... as did many other belongings of me. My amazing laptop was given to me two years ago for winning a scholarship :)

Found this on Tumblr: “Biology’s cruel joke goes something like this: As a teenage body goes through puberty, its circadian rhythm essentially shifts three hours backward. Suddenly, going to bed at nine or ten o’clock at night isn’t just a drag, but close to a biological impossibility. Studies of teenagers around the globe have found that adolescent brains do not start releasing melatonin until around eleven o’clock at night and keep pumping out the hormone well past sunrise. Adults, meanwhile, have little-to-no melatonin in their bodies when they wake up. With all that melatonin surging through their bloodstream, teenagers who are forced to be awake before eight in the morning are often barely alert and want nothing more than to give in to their body’s demands and fall back asleep. Because of the shift in their circadian rhythm, asking a teenager to perform well in a classroom during the early morning is like asking him or her to fly across the country and instantly adjust to the new time zone — and then do the same thing every night, for four years.”

Definitely showing to Mum when she gets home.

Elevetha | 11058 comments That's cool. I sometimes wish I got rewarded every once in a while for my grades. I got really upset last week, angry and emotional and all the upsets, when I got a B in math this past quarter and my Mom is over there saying it's fine. Fine?? I GOT A FREAKING B. Not cool and most certainly NOT FINE.

That is quite possibility the most perfect thing I have seen. (Other than last quarter's all A's report card. Ugh)

message 9655: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments YOU GOT A B? That's above average, Elevetha. It's a good grade! Don't be upset.

I know! It's amazing. Now Mum can't make me do stuff in the morning anymore!

I had an iPod touch, (I know, Apple :P) but I lost it. I'm so skilled.

message 9657: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Same here. I lose a lot of things. It's a trait of mine.

message 9658: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments I politely refuse. See, growing up, I thought grading was thus:

A=average
B=bad
C=catastrophic
D=dismal
F=failure

It stuck, even after I realized C was average. I can't...my brain refuses to acknowledge that a B is a good grade. I can't do it. Maybe that makes me, I don't know, snobbish or something but I just can't do it. A B....*shudders*

I wish....My Mum still will make me.

message 9659: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments Hah :) A B will always be an average to me - and an A is mildly good :) Hehe. I don't think it makes you snobbish, just means you're pretty smart :)

message 9660: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments If A is mildly good, then what is good? A+ don't count anymore, sadly, for me so now I'm curious...

Why thank you. *strokes imaginary beard; pondering if I really am smart or just snobby:D*

message 9661: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments No, we don't get A+ either. Many B's and quite a few A's is just normal to me, so yeah, mildly good.

Grr, this over capacity thing....

message 9662: by [deleted user] (new)

I know right? I think if there was any doubt I was addicted to GR, this would cross out all doubt.

I've been clicking refresh frantically for the past five minutes. Stupid overcapacity. *pout*

message 9663: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments I've been clicking refresh for the past hour :(

It. kept. acting. up. on. me. If it starts doing it again, I will get super annoyed. *pout*

message 9667: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments I'm sure you will

message 9668: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm trying to be the last post today, but knowing me, that'll probably never happen... Oh well. *wink*

message 9669: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 8612 comments ... It didn't happen

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Good morning! ^_^ How art thou doing today?

message 9672: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments I am doing lovely. Went to a late night showing of PR last night so Mum let me sleep in. Huzzah!! The only bad thing is that it is positively freezing here. I have pants and a sweater and I used my comforter/duvet last night. So cold. It's July! What is this madness?

message 9673: by Valeria (new)

Valeria (rainyvaleria) | 41 comments Last posts will
Never happen.

message 9674: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments But they do. Sometimes.

message 9675: by Valeria (new)

Valeria (rainyvaleria) | 41 comments I guess. But in this thread, I think it's impossible, since its called last posts win.
So
Everyone will try to win.
But in reality, they will never.
Blah. I'm gonna shut up now :)

message 9676: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) We've basically made it so that if a person's post lasts more than 24 hours, they've won. If this thread falls off our notifications, there's a good chance of that happening.

But that day is not today!

Elevetha | 11058 comments "We've basically made it so that if a person's post lasts more than 24 hours, they've won."

Isn't that the rules, though? The one thing we don't do that we're supposed to is a topic change. We just do whatever. I think. Hmm.

Because there will never be a "last post". I think I get it.

message 9679: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) And wow, Ellie! It's cold where you live? D: It's quite pleasant right now. Not too hot, but not chilly. Your state is weird.

Maybe you're getting a draft from the lake or something. I know that sometimes when I go to San Francisco in the summer, it's oftentimes very cold, all because of the Bay.

It is a very weird state. I swear, the weather here is bonkers. Half the time, esp. in spring, it's frigid in the morning so you don your parka and then in the afternoon you switch to your shorts and tank only to go back to the parka after supper. *shivers* And to think it was almost 100 all last week.

Where I live, it'd be sketchy for a lake draft. Oh, and I was going to tell you that your bridge and one of my bridges are connected! They were designed by the same guy. How cool is that?

message 9681: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) WHAT REALLY? Our bridges have a connection?! :D That is SO COOL! :D *dances happily* Even history is conspiring for us!

message 9682: by Elevetha (new)

Elevetha | 11058 comments I know!!! You should have seen my face when I found that out. I was beaming.

message 9683: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) One day when you come to where I live, I need to show you the other places I love. I have more dearer landmarks close to my heart (although I will always have a soft spot for the Golden Gate), but due to my close proximity to said landmarks, I stay quiet about them. But one day I need to show them to you. ^_^

I need to watch that video again in order to perfect my wealthy laugh.
