Warmth. No more sweaters or coats. Summer pajamas. Late nights all the time. No school. Frisbee, basketball, volleyball, tennis. Waking up late. Open windows. No shoveling snow. No slipping on ice. Thunderstorms. Walking in the rain. The smell of freshly mown grass. The River. Sunbathing on the beach with a cold lemonade and a book. Looking for petrified wood. Jumping off the boat. Throwing bottlerockets at night.

I don't like winter. Its cold.

It's crisp! It's cold! It's amazing! I love the way the trees look all dark and forbidding in the half-light, like dark statues. Also our deciduous hazelnut tree turns spooky (will take a pic for you guys later on) and the garden's so silent! And sometimes we light a fire and sit in front of it. Winter is a time for thought.

If only it would snow :(

I think maybe if we had a mild short winter, I wouldn't mind so much but it's not mild or short. It's extremely cold and it never ends. And the snow's nice for a while till it gets to be 7+ feet by your driveway and you have to keep shoveling it because it won't stop snowing.


Hot chocolate doesn't cut it for me.
