Yeah. I guess cuz I was forced to read it at skool

message 52: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments I wasn't forced to read it, and I still disliked it... I think I might have liked it more if I hadn't had such high expectations for it.

message 53: by [deleted user] (new)

well, my expectations for books i read at school r usually low. so if its good, i don't fall asleep reading it and end up failing english.

message 54: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) I didn't like THE GIVER. Idk, it just didn't seem as special as everyone made it out to be

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. I read that last year and I got SOOOO bored sometimes. I found it kinda. . . weird.

That's exactly how I felt...

message 57: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) actually, I might get flack for this...but one really popular book that I've never felt the urge to read is PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER. Idk, maybe because I'm such an anti-book snob or whatever, but I have this weird aversion to books that mainstreamers find popular. Except HP. and PJ. and HUNGER GAMES. but including MOCKINGJAY... hmmmm :P

Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3) ruined the Hunger Games Trilogy for me.

Im still reading Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. I have it on the side as my '2nd book'. Its so dull. Im sorry, and I realize I may have offended some people, but it is woeful.
If your looking for a good holocaust book, try The Book Thief over Anne Frank any day of the week.

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

I loved MOCKINGJAY!!!!! i just didn't like the epilogue.

message 60: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) Lol, the epilogue was really the only thing I did like :D

message 61: by [deleted user] (new)

what?! the epilogue was so rushed!!

message 62: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 4295 comments Mod
I disliked it all.
If I had to choose a favorite part, it would be the epilogue as well.

message 63: by [deleted user] (new)

meh. i liked it.

I gave it 2 stars.
Yes, thats right: TWO.

See my rant: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments I still haven't given it the dignity of starring it.

My mum just finished the series, and while she wasn't as irked with Mockingjay as I was, she still disliked it.

I would guess we own close to 1,000 books, if not more, and that is with going to the library at least once a month. (not to mention the holds that my mom picks up for me about once a week, if not more)

If I didn't have an amazing library, I would either live on the streets due to bankruptcy, or in an insane asylum for lack of books.

message 67: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments I agree with you, Hannah.

message 68: by ilaria (new)

ilaria | 774 comments i've never read them because i've just heard they were a waste of time. looks like you guys agree??

message 69: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Yeah. I read the first because I wanted to see why everyone loved them. I couldn't find it. The writing, characters, and plot were all awful.

(Yes I know that not everyone agrees with me)

message 70: by ilaria (new)

ilaria | 774 comments i've thought about reading at least the first one because a few of my friends like it

message 71: by ilaria (new)

ilaria | 774 comments k i'll try ;)

Agreed. Has anyone seen my little group of twilight haters with deadly weapons? ((Guys, now is a good time to post.))

message 75: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments *picks up weaponry bag* I'm still ready to go at any moment! *swings lightsaber*

ilaria | 774 comments lolz love you guys :P

message 77: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments You should join T.T.H.G.O.T.W.(The Twilight Haters Group of the World)

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

You know, the worst way to kill something is to read Twilight to it/them. So how the h*** do we kill Twilight? It'd be like assited suicide or something...

message 79: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Heeheehee... Erm... Show the books the movies? ;)

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, you're just a freakin' genius!!!

message 81: by Taylor (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments The only problem would be, with the books dead, how do we kill the movies??? This is truly a predicament...

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

Show them a pic of 'Edward.' *Simles* Crush my waffles here I come. Plus, T.T.H.G.O.T.W. is getting a new member.

message 83: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Yay! That is totally the way to crush the waffles. Or a picture of Taylor Lautner. You have no idea how creepy he can be.

message 84: by Emi (new)

Emi | 80 comments the worst book i have ever try i didnt finish was forever from judy blume i think that book is disgusting...

message 85: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments really? What was so bad about it?

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1115 comments The Diary of Pelly D. DO NOT READ!

message 87: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) Emily wrote: "the worst book i have ever try i didnt finish was forever from judy blume i think that book is disgusting..."

I agree with you, Emily. It was on our required reading in one of our college classes, and my friend and I asked the professor to take it off. She refused (and was really rude about it), so we went to the Chair of the English department...long story short, the book got taken off the required list, and the professor isn't there anymore... :P

message 88: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments How did that work?

♫♫☺Allie☺♫♫ (alliwicious) | 1115 comments We read it in class and everybody went in a rage at the end. Including the teacher.
