I can start since I'm not doing anything right now. If I find anything to ask about can I come back here Cait?
Cait, can you make sure that link is to the right page? I haven't found any books yet? I've gone through the few short lists and am on the lengthier to-read list and am on the 2nd page already. So far all have ISBNs and look right at a glance. I'm going to keep looking but I wanted to make sure so I'm not wasting time.
I found a few on his shelves - this one. But he doesn't seem to have too many that I can see either.
thanks melody. That's a good thing but I wanted to make sure I wasn't somehow on the wrong page. I did message him and I'll keep working my way through. I'm glad to know I won't be finding them every other listing!
The fastest way to find ISBNless records is to open a user's "all" shelf in print view and sort on the ISBN column....
Ooooh, THANK you Cait! That is very helpful info! I'm still going through them but this will definitely help speed things up!
Cait, a few questions on the books here - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/35... has no ISBN but amazon listed it and I can't find an unused ISBN that fits it.
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/29... is the primary book and also is a unique cover but has no ISBN and I can't find an used # for it. Should these just be left alone?
Can a super please tell me if this description is okay?http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30...
The librarian who added the spoiler warning and I, along with one or two others talked about this but a super never chimed in so I never found out. I've never seen it done anywhere and nothing in the description looked like a spoiler to me and the other librarians (besides the one who entered the warning of course).
I'd like to change it if that's what should be done and if it's okay to leave it then I'd like to forget about it. :)

message 8 - I combined the second with an edition with the same publisher and year - and no cover. I added the cover from the first edition (without the ISBN) to the combined entry. The first one I would say to leave it alone. It has a publisher and year - but has a different cover from a duplicate listing the same publisher and year. Not sure if it's an alternative cover or not. I'll leave that one for someone else to decide.
And message 9 - nothing looks like a spoiler to me either. (and I don't think a super opinion carries anymore clout than a non-super - our powers are limited to heavy labor)

Not a super, but I'm pretty sure the descriptions shouldn't contain a spoiler.
Nothing in that description looks like a spoiler to me either. I'm pretty sure the descriptions on the backs of the books tell you that much before you start reading it.
I certainly don't want to see 3 lines of "contains spoilers" before I get to the description of the book.if the description has been "provided" by the Publisher via importer or is the description from the the fly covers of the books it should stand, if I pick the book up from a bookshelf and read it I see the same information - there was a discussion about this earlier and making actual changes to descriptions that contain spoilers but I cannot remember if there was an outcome.

Agreed. Removed.
Agreed. Removed.
:) Paula, I thought the same thing. That's why I didn't want to forget about that one. Thanks for getting it rivka, I wasn't on-line again yesterday. And thank you also Cait, for your help above. I'm finding that a lot of the adder's books are Kindle and have the ASIN instead of the ISBN so it's less work than it looked like.
Hopefully I won't but I may be back, going to the shelves now.... :)

& the isbn 13 doesn't show up in the print view...
hmm...maybe this should go to the feed back group?
Nenangs, showing the ISBN-13 is already in the new "my books". The only question is when that will go live from beta.
